This is an excellent brace to support ankles from twists, sprains and fractures. It both supports the ankle and provides cushioning to the heel when walking. The shock absorption has reduced my ankle and heel pain dramatically. I love that it is laced up, so it fits the ankle well during the initial swollen phase through the healing phase.I have used GVIIPK products in the past, and they are very well made with excellent materials and superior sewing stitching, The sizing chart worked perfectly for me. This brace is designed to provide inversion and eversion support and control. The material wicks away moisture and allows air flow, so the brace can be worn comfortably all day, both over and under a sock. I have experienced no skin abrasion or discomfort while using this. There are multiple straps to supply layers of support and protection. These straps are easily adjusted for more or less compression, to allow healthy blood flow to the foot.I am going to incorporate this brace into my more joint intensive exercises, from mowing the lawn to skiing. I highly recommend this brace.
