It's hard to see in the photo but these don't have the metal bracket to secure the envelope, just a clear sticky, that looks like a bracket. Other than that they are just fine.

They make this look like a clasp, but there is no clasp. It's just a (an actually really good) sticky spot made to look like a metal clasp, instead of the regular sticky flap. If you don't need a real clasp, it works just fine.

The Gummy closure is what sells me on this item. I also use clear shipping tape to close the envelope when mailing whether it is a gummy or clasp closure. I like the gummy closure since I mostly don't mail the items. I open and close the envelope many times before handing it to the client.

I use these almost every day in my Etsy business of paper and party supplies. I can ship gift tags, confetti, cards and more in these and even slide a piece of cardboard cut from a cardboard box to add support. I write the address on with a permanent marker and my own return address labels stick nicely. The best part is the seal on the back that allows me to ship via USPS first class letter rates. I do print my own “Thank You” 1.5” round stickers to cover the silver seal on the back just in case the USPS clerk wants to question the clear-clasp postage saving feature 😉
