I've been gone from plastering for about 15 yrs. I needed a hawk and trowel to patch up some holes on the exterior and interior of my new house. And when I thought of a trowel Marshalltown popped up in my head from my years on a plastering crew. Well i was not disappointed. Worked liked a charm Im definitely not as fast as I use to be but the job was done with this trowel.

Using a regular drywall knife is easier for me to use but the tool is fun to try and learn.

Great tool, made decently solid as there is little flex. The trowel surface was polished to a bright shine which looks nice but made it a bit hard for the mud to stick to the trowel. Over all for me this tool is very comfortable to use and well made.
