The reviews made the selling point on this product to help my sister-in-law have a TV again. It works very efficiently. They are very happy with it. Easy to program too.

I've had this box for a few months now. It's hooked up to our RCA antenna. We use it when our wifi goes out due to area outages. It was easy to set up. Only draw back is that you have to be fairly close to box and point directly to it for the remote to work well.

Unfortunately, it did not work on my TV. Also much too complicated for a simple TV. Do you want some and you lose them at least I tried. Maybe I’ll work for your TV.

I purchased this OTA DVR to replace a similar one that quit working. Easy setup with nice features. During scan it picked up 28 channels, but when it came to actually tuning in the channel, NO SIGNAL. The stations that it did pick up were very clear HD quality. I tested the DVR against the HDTV using the antenna cable (signal) and it cannot find the signal, even though the TV pulls the signal in strong. Was really hoping this box would work, as the size, features, and ease of use are very nice. I ordered a different brand that started with a K, which worked great, but the remote quit working right out of the return period. Then I bought a Ematic, that I have been using for the last year, but it quit working. Both were nice units. Had to return this one and will try a different brand again. Good luck.

It’s smaller than the others. It is working very well. The remote has a button for channel search if needed very convenient. The quality and number of channels is 30 or more. I have an outside antenna. Still working as of 1-26-24 with continuous use. Update 9-13-24 it stopped working. This box lasted longer than any DTV converter so far. Around two years. The box was on 24 hours a day continuously since it isn’t convenient to turn on and off every day. Other converters only lasted a few months to a year. Why they don’t last I don’t know. June 2022 is when I purchased this 103 model for the first time. This converter box has lasted continuously longer 2 years and 2 months. This converter box lasted the longest. All the other ones lasted a year or 6 months or less so I purchased this model again.

Just got it. Not into the specs and details. Got it to replace my old half working RCA box. Didn't read all the details except for getting a memory stick for recording. Just plugged it in everywhere where the old one was. Played around with the remote. Set the TV( actually the VCR LOL) to channel 3 or 4. Hit the button on the top of remote to scan in channels. Done! Awesome. I'll read the rest later. Very simple and works well. I made sure it was shipped and "sold" by Amazon just in case it didn't work out. Not really into all the other stuff others might need. Just clear basic channels. I still love my VCR for recording though.UPDATE...Wnenever a channel isn't clear it knocks it out of your scanned channels and you have to re-scan all day over and over again. And wait until that process is complete. Missing shows in the meantime. SO ANNOYING!!!! I changed my mind. That is ridiculous. I hate this box.

I really am impressed with this HD OTA TV box and think I may buy a second one just to have because I really love the user interface and the options that they provide. As others have mentioned the remote control is well set up and makes navigating the menus straightforward after using it for a few minutes. The viewing mode selections built in are also a great feature to have ranging from 480i all the way up to 1080p and widescreen viewing modes are available for 480 resolution also. I use this box in my car with my media receiver head unit screen with the RCA video outputs on this box. I have also tried the HDMI on my neighbors TV and it works well.I especially like the level of detail provided when scanning channels with this device. It shows you very conveniently what frequencies are being scanned so you know if you are picking up VHF signals and UHF or only one or the other.Given the small size this works perfectly for a mobile TV setup and after setting up the color settings from within the provided menu, it's crystal clear and vivid even when viewing on a tiny screen on the dash. It also will impress your friends.I can tell that these guys are old school and minimalist style programmers and that is always a plus because now days it has become more and more difficult to find devices with software that isn't bloated and lacking in functionality. This QFX device is the exact opposite of that and I appreciate them releasing a product that provides so many features. I came on Amazon to order a USB stick for the DVR and media functionality of this converter because once I saw that option in the menus I got excited to try the media playback capabilities. Since it was on my mind, I am leaving this review. By the way, I recommend reviewmeta.com when deciding on Amazon purchases. It is a website that can help you find out if the reviews are truly legit. I highly recommend that site.

This tuner has a few added features beyond the typical. It does have both HDMI and RCA Composite output options. Surprisingly, since I ran out of HDMI input ports on my TV, I utilized the Composite Input and the picture still looks pretty good (still much better than the old Analog). The reason for the 4 Star Install rating is because it takes a few hit and miss attempts to actually figure out the DVR record feature using a USB stick. The setup for timer recording is cumbersome, but otherwise, this is a pretty good little tuner. Great for the new Smart TVs without tuners, and where the "cutting the cable or satellite cords" option has been exercised. I actually purchased a 2nd unit for another TV. I couldn't be happier!
