Can I use this to convert a 12 Volt ride on car for my child. The 12 volt battery ended up dieing, I'm getting a replacement was not worth the money considering how long day last. I ended up using this to adapt the car to a 18-volt Ryobi battery. Oh my! It's got so much more power with this battery. However, with the control knob, you can taper off the power to as much as you need. I've had it installed for about 6 months and have no issues with burning up the motor or anything like that. Install instructions are vague however, and you could find install guides on YouTube.

I use this to regulate power from a 18v battery to a 12v power wheels. Fairly easy to install and works well. The only issue is the knob turns with vibration requiring tape to keep a constant speed.

I got this to use on my son’s power wheels. The battery by itself was way too fast, so with this I am able to adjust the speed. He’s able to drive it safely now and he loves it

Terrible quality! Right out of the package you can see the switch is crooked. A couple of pins are barely in the board, making a poor solder job. I went ahead and tested it, but it was also terrible. The voltage change from min to max was less than 1v. Garbage!

Had a RideOn car my daughter used until battery gave up. Found a TikTok video showing how to replace the battery with a drill battery and this adapter. Worked perfect on the first try and the car goes even faster.Pros: you can adjust the speed, easy so assemble, easy to adjust, works as advertise, works with my desalt batter and craftsmen battery as well.Cons: the cover is very flimsy and vents easily.
