Provides a convenient way to access stored rainwater, allowing you to easily fill watering cans or connect a hose for garden irrigation.Over time, spigots can become clogged with debris or develop leaks, requiring occasional maintenance.

The valve appears to be of good quality and is easy to install. However, the screw doesn't seal properly and consistently leaks. I had to use a significant amount of pipe tape to resolve the issue.

These are nice spigots.Their beefiness make off/on operations really easy, and they don't look half bad in the barrels. The threaded ends allowed me to use standard PVC threaded ends to pipe in to an irrigation feed line.1.5inch hole saw on the drill made short work of the plastic barrel and made for a nice snug fit.My only gripe is that I didn't have a large enough set of channel locks at the time to snug them up a bit better.I have a very slow drip that I can't get to until I empty the barrel enough where I'm up to my shoulder in rainwater.

This valve although made from plastic, is very study and very thick. You will need at least a 1.5 inch hole saw to install. The shut off valve operates very smoothly. I liked that I only need one wrench to install - as it makes the process much easier. Tips when installing: remove the gasket and wrap teflon tape generously around the threads then replace the gasket. Do the same same for the threads on the valve piece. Since I was attaching it to curved surface (55 gallon plastic barrel), I was worried that I would have trouble making a leak proof seal, but the teflon tape makes all the difference. Time will tell how long it lasts outdoors in the sun, but the build quality gives me confidence.
