Introducing Devil Ball, a brand new training aid from PuttOUT.
Putting is the easiest opportunity most golfers have to improve.
40% of your golf shots are putts. Face angle accounts for up to 90% of your putt's start direction. If you improve your face angle you'll make more putts and shoot lower scores.
By exaggerating the effect of your putter's face angle, Devil Ball will train you to deliver your putter back to the ball square. By square, for a right-handed golfer we mean not pointing out to the right (open) and not pointing to left (closed).

Devil Ball exaggerates the effect of your putter's face angle so it is easier to understand how you can improve.
- Due to its flat-edged impact zone, Devil Ball exaggerates the face angle of your putter at impact.
- It's more difficult to make Devil Ball to roll straight than a normal, spherical golf ball, meaning it's twice as hard to hole a 3ft putt.
- If you deliver a closed putter face, Devil Ball will spin erratically off to the left of target. If you deliver an open putter face, Devil Ball will spin erratically off to the right.
Train in Hard Mode. Play on Easy Mode.
Imperfect strikes will cause Devil Ball to deviate further offline.
Made Putt!
A normal ball hit from 3ft:
Will comfortably go in the hole when the putter face is delivered anywhere between 0° and 2° open or closed.
With a Devil Ball:
This tolerance reduces by half, down to 1° open or closed. It's twice as hard!
Lip In / Lip Out
A normal ball hit from 3ft:
Will start hitting the lip of the hole when the putter face is delivered anywhere between 2.5° and 4.5° open or closed.
With a Devil Ball:
This tolerance reduces by more than half, to between 1° and 1.5° open or closed.
Misses the Hole!
A normal ball hit from 3ft:
Will start missing the hole altogether when the putter face is delivered more than 5° open or closed.
With Devil Ball:
This tolerance reduces by more than half, down to 2° to 2.5° open or closed.

I’m not a very good golfer, is Devil Ball for me?
Devil Ball is a training aid that is designed to be twice as hard to roll straight as a normal golf ball. If you are new to golf, Devil Ball will only be suitable if you are serious about improving your putting skills. We recommend you start by using Devil Ball on the ‘Beginner’ setting. To use the ‘Beginner’ setting, rotate Devil Ball so that you are hitting the roundest part of the ball (see the images below)
I’m a really good golfer, can Devil Ball still help my putting?
Devil Ball will challenge even the most experience golfers. If you are a skilled golfer, you can try using Devil Ball on the Intermediate and Pro difficulty settings. Be warned though, it is called ‘Devil Ball’ for a reason!
Are there different balls for the different difficulty settings?
No. Each Devil Ball has three different difficulty levels built in. You change the difficulty level by rotating the Devil Ball so that you are hitting a rounder (easier) or flatter (harder) part of the ball. This is shown in the images below. On the ‘Beginner’ difficulty level, you will hit the roundest part of the ball. On the ‘Pro’ difficulty level, you will hit the flattest part of the ball. There are two Devil Balls provided in each pack, but they are both identical.
Can I use this at home?
Yes. Devil Ball can be used at home, at work and out on the practice green. For even better results we recommend using Devil Ball alongside our putting mats, pressure trainers and range of other training tools (sold separately).
Can I play a round of golf with Devil Ball?
No. It’s important to note that Devil Ball itself is a training tool and cannot be used in normal play. Devil Ball should also not be used with any golf club other than your putter.
Devil Ball offers multiple levels of difficulty
Hard
Devil Ball is at its hardest when you are putting against the flat-edged impact zone.
This will cause imperfect strikes to be exaggerated the most.
Medium
If the hardest setting is proving too challenging, rotate Devil Ball forwards by 45 degrees so that you are putting against a slightly rounder section of the ball.
Easy
The easiest way to use Devil Ball is to putt with the single line pointing up at you, the most spherical part of Devil Ball on the putter side, and the flat-edge pointing at your target.

Consisting of a polymer inner core and an elastomer shell, Devil Ball is the same size & weight as a normal golf ball.
Devil Ball includes an alignment marker that ensures you are lined up correctly to the target and can also be used in casual and competitive play.

Now I know why it's called Devil Ball, this thing will frustrate you at first but it pushes you to make perfect putts, with time and practice you will make better putts. I'm very happy with this purchase.

This training aid is the truth. It addresses exactly what it's designed to address: the putter face angle at impact. On it's most difficult position, ANY deviation off 0 degrees will be apparent, and provides immediate feedback.It won't root out the cause of your misalignment at impact, (seek professional guidance if necessary), nor will it help much with pace, but if you're having issues with your putting it can provide a diagnostic tool that'll point you in the right direction to holing those pesky 5 footers.Fairways and greens.

The Devil Ball works as intended but don't expect the feel and sound of a real ball.If you mishit whether its from face angle issues or from cutting across the ball (a putter slice/hook?), the ball reacts and rolls offline as intended. At 3 feet or closer it is not as effective especially if you normally hit it harder at this distance like you would to take the slope out when you're on the course. I currently use it at 6 ft and 8 ft to get the best results.If you are expecting this to sound and feel like a golf ball, this is not for you. The ball doesn't jump off the face like a real ball and it has a hard plastic sound. I've found drawing a 360 deg line on a ball or coloring half of the ball one color with a sharpie will tell you the same thing and still maintain feel and sound. This is still a fun addition to the indoor putting mat but curb your expectations low handicappers.

Love this putting trainer!
