Punch Needle Coasters Kit

The pictures look beautiful! I wish mine came out like the pictures. This was my first time to buy a punch needle kit. These designs are very intricate, probably not for a novice user like myself. However, if you were experienced, I highly would recommend. I need easier patterns & thicker yarn to cover up my mistakes. These designs are very aesthetic though!

There was no needle punch threader and no instructions. Had to buy a threader and look online for instructions.

Hard to punch into the fabric and potential to stab your hand.

3 glue sticks instead of a needle threader is not helpful. I got my kit and it's missing which means I had to buy it separately. Not happy.

There was exactly no directions for this. It just came with a bag of yarn and something that looked like a plastic shank.

I love these, it’s such a fun set with cute designs. It comes with instructions and is easy to get the hang of once you know what you’re doing. I’m new to this and have enjoyed learning along the way and having a cheap, easy hobby to work on in my down time.

I looked at a variety of punch needle kits, and this one has the most beautiful colors, designs, and included equipment. Everything is there, and there's not a LOT of yarn, but enough to complete the projects if the punching is done correctly (not overpunched). There is one embroidery hoop, it's plastic which keeps the best grip, and works very well. There is a lack of detailed instruction, if you are brand new to this art. There are some "kind tips" which are a great reminder if you already know the basics. I always recommend going to YouTube, to learn any new craft, because no single kit will tell you all you need to know. There are many great videos on YouTube, covering the basics and detailed technique. The maker of this kit doesn't have their own videos, but it's always best to get a selection of viewpoints so you would probably go to YouTube at some point anyway, to learn more about things like spacing of stitches and other pointers to help you succeed and enjoy. The skill level required for this kit is confident beginner--meaning that the process is not difficult, but there are quite a few small areas and details, and they'll turn out okay even if they're not perfect, but they may cause frustration to someone who is brand new to this craft. A brand new beginner should probably start with larger areas until they have confidence.
