This new check valve was easy to install after watching the installation video on the items listing. It is so quiet and I’m happy I don’t have to listen to all the banging every my sump pump runs. I am a 68 yo woman so if I can manage to install this thing in less than half an hour so can you!

If there was six stars I would have rated it that! If you have one of the older dark green one way valves that produces a loud bang/water hammer every time it closes, SPEND THE MONEY and order one of these!!! Eighteen years I lived with all that noise. This thing is near silent and works so awesome. Install was super easy, four hose clamps that’s it. You’ll probably get a little wet from the water in the discharge pipe but install is easy. Quick shipping got it the next day.

This thing is a life saver been dealing with our sump pump going off every 7 minutes for years and the klunking nose drives us crazy now with this new check valve you can’t hear anything. I will never use another check valve again.

With the existing check valve, I was experiencing “water hammer” after each sump pump cycle. It was loud enough to fool the dog that someone was knocking on the door. Once the new check valve was installed, the annoying knocking sound completely disappeared. The valve was easy to install and I didn’t have to cut any existing pipes. I can’t comment on longevity since I’ve only had it installed for a few days. I would recommend this product. The dog is happier too.

Replaced the typical green check valve that all sump pumps have with this pump spy unit. Not only is it silent when the pump shuts off/closes the check valve, it transmits so much less pump noise. I am impressed on first installation. Construction seems good, hopefully it lasts long.Reduced noise by at least half.

I toyed around with the idea of purchasing one of these for a long time. Every time it rained, I would swear that I’d order one. I live in an a high water table area so my sump pump runs every single time it rains or if there’s significant snow melt. I broke down and purchased one but it got lost in transit, I ordered a replacement and decided I’d wait for the rain and spring thaw to end.My sump pump has been literally running nonstop for the past month. Yesterday I went to my basement to find that my loud check valve decided to spring a leak. I had no choice, I had to change it ASAP. I waited for the interval between the pump turned of and on slowed down and finally took the plunge. Super easy installation, unplugged the pump, loosened the clamps on the old check valve, pull it off and quickly put the return section of the pipe into a bucket to drain. Throw the new valve on, tighten the clamps on to the pipes and plug the pump back in and enjoy the leak free silence of this engineering marvel.I’ve written many reviews in my lifetime but never have I been compelled to write such a detailed review as this one. This check valve is a god send, no more constant water hammer, just the quiet buzz of the pump.If you have a sump pump and your check valve emits a loud noise due to water hammer, do yourself a favour and treat yourself to one of these, it’ll be the best money you’ll ever spend.
