This fog machine is pretty cute. The cauldron will definitely go well with my Halloween decorations. It doesn’t hold a lot of water but it creates a nice mist and the LED lights allow you to change the color of the mist.

I gave this 3 stars because it did NOT come with instructions. It's fairly easy to put together, after you back to the amazon ad about it and find the pictures that should have been included in the box. Something was mentioned about 2 inches of water in the ad, but it didn't make any sense. It took me three times to get the right level of water in the cauldron to get it right. Too much water will splatter all over the table. Too little doesn't make sufficient mist. It's all trial and error. That being said, it's REALLY cool! I'd have been pleased had it come in a bigger cauldron, but that is something I can do on my own, for there are lots of plastic cauldron around, come Autumn.

Creates perfect cool "steam" that overflows the sides of the supplied cauldron in no time, complete with lighting that progresses through a number of patterns and colors. I am planning to try this in a larger cauldron for Halloween this year, but if that doesn't work, the included miniature one is quite acceptable.

Okay, I'm not sure where to start with this. The only positives are that it is a cauldron and that the light changes are pretty.First, it is pretty small. XBox controller for size comparison. Which is fine, not inherently a bad thing, just unexpected and something to note.Secondly, there is no divot or anything in/on the cauldron for the cord to rest in to make it even a little less noticeable. The cord just hangs over the side. It's a bit heavy for how small the cauldron is too so be careful on how you lay it.Thirdly, there are no instructions included whatsoever. You just kind of have to guess what to do and hope for the best. It's all trial and error, or read some reviews for clues. I was flabbergasted at that.Most egregiously, in my opinion, is the look of the end product. Once you have it all set up, you're stuck with this tiny cauldron with a huge bulb coming out of it, and just the smallest bit of mist. I tried different quantities of water to see if it would help, but no luck. It's just not an aesthetically pleasing product. Maybe if you're just looking for lights and mist... but it's really not for me.

The cauldron needs to be bigger so the water doesn't get everywhere. That's the only real issue.The mister unit works well and the effect is cool. If you set it on a porch or outside somewhere that it doesn't matter it gets all wet around it then it's fine.Don't expect to use it indoors on a shelf unless you put it in something with a bigger lip.I decided to put mine in a larger fountain and I plug it in when I'm on the patio and it's great for this.For the value, it's worth it for me, and I'll dock a star for the cauldron being a bit too small for full practicality.

This mist maker Cauldron works as expected, but I was a little disappointed. There were no instructions included in the box. It wasn't very clear on how to put it together and I had to go back online to find the instructions. The plastic piece that covers the mist maker sticks out of the top of the cauldron and is not covered entirely by the mist (as shown in the pictures). This may be an okay feature for some, but for me it takes away the whole aesthetic of a misting cauldron. The cord has to go over the lip of the cauldron which is another downside. Overall, I would not recommend this cauldron.

You won't be brewing much of any magic with this tiny plastic cauldron..it's comically small. It's like "babies first bubbling cauldron" small... I suppose I should have read the fine print. In the photos I put a soda next to it to show size comparison. It's not going to make much of a. Impression being that little. I have yet to even try the mist making portion of it. I'll add to my review after I do.Update: there isn't anywhere for the cord to discreetly come put of the cauldron so it literally just hangs out over the side. The most doesn't really make it out of the cauldron unless you blow on it. The color changing lights are pretty but they are obscured by the little plastic dome that acts as an umbrella to prevent water from splashing all over, which it definitely does if you don't put it on.I may be able to use the mist maker inside of a pumpkin with just a clear glass bowl full of water inside so that way you would actually get the color changing effect and the could run the cord out the back of the pumpkin. But as it is, I'm not impressed with this product. I'm lowering my rating now from 3 stars to 2, I would do one but I still have hope for a finding a better use for the mist maker at some point
