Dash drilled and fire wall done etc ran the cable down put the e clips in put the brass end on for the 4wd light and tried to adjust the cable down below and then pulled it up top and the cable won't pull back at all. Tried adjusting the bottom and the knob and nothing works. Not to mention the cable is excessively long even for my lifted 2001 ram 2500

The swap went well. I have replaced the diaphragm actuator twice. I now know that when I pull my plow truck out of the garage in the winter, I will always have 4wd. - Doug

The only hard part about this installation was having to remove the fork from the old unit. Once that part was removed 45 min later everything went smooth. People are probably having problems with the very first units but mine, was very well thought through.

Installed on my 02 dodge 2500 and it works perfectly. Could use better instructions but got it figured out.

Maybe they changed the nut in the kit? My nut fit perfectly. The instructions still call it a 7/16s nut. But I had no problems installing it in my 2001 dodge ram 2500!

The housing was unfinished, not sanded smooth, and there are no threads where the cable is supposed to thread in a half inch. The nut for the end of the cable where it threads into the housing was the wrong thread pitch. The back side that goes against the axle and is supposed to make a seal is rough metal straight out of the casting mold. Not sanded or ground flat. It's crazy how much they got wrong on this. Pic.1 shows how rough the surface is that's supposed to make a seal. Pic.2 shows NO threads where the cable is supposed to go. I need to also inform that the jamb nut is wrong. They sent a 7/16 NF20 and that is what the instructions also say, but the cable end is actually an M12 1.50 So I went and bought the right jamb nut at Ace Hardware.

The PSL400 kit arrived when stated by Amazon. Things go down hill from there.First, a small issue, the angle bracket that holds the pull cable to the underside of the dash had the wrong size hole for the cable pull. It needed to be drilled out to 13/16" so the cable pull would fit... no problem. The bigger issue was the jam nut the locks the cable to Central Axle Disconnect or CAD, was nNOT the correct threads. The cable threads DID match the CAD housing and screwed in together as they should. Had to make a trip to the hardware store to purchase a 12mm x 1.5 to match the threads on the cable.NOTE: The last thing you want to do is force the jamb nut on the cable end. If you do, it won't fit in the CAD housing. After those issues the kit did work as it should.
