Bought this for my 93 yr old Dad, who is blind. It’s perfect for him because the on/off, volume and station knobs are all operated from two knobs on the side which makes it very, very easy for hime to feel and operate.

Plugs into the BACK of the radio so it cannot sit flush against a wall or shelf. I'd like it a lot more if the plug-in was on the SIDE of the radio.

Nice and simple .Get way more stations and come in clear. There are stations up and down the dial that we never knew about.Excellent reception.Love old school dial so you can dial in stations better. You can plug in or use batteries.Clear sound . Wife uses it in kitchen when cooking or doing dishes. She was very surprised how many stations there were and no static

Pros:-Very good FM reception.-Above average AM reception.-Good channel selectivity and separation.-Powered by 4 standard AA batteries. Can use rechargeables.-Includes a power cord and can run on AC power.-Speaker is capable of getting very loud for its size.-Has a true power off switch so there is no parasitic draw on the batteries.-Has a flip up carry handle.-Has a 3.5mm headphone jack.-Has large, easy to turn knobs.Cons:-Tuning knob has play in it.-Antenna is weak and easily bent.-Feet aren't perfectly flat.-Small speaker lacks bass.-Lacks SW and Weather band.-Lacks a tuning indicator LED.-Lacks tuning dial light for tuning in the dark. This is a great radio for listening to talk radio, and the speaker seems to have been chosen for this purpose, however, when listening to music, it is completely lacking in bass and so certain genres of music will not sound their best on it.The tuning knob can be turned about 1/4" in either direction before the tuning indicator moves. I'm not sure if this is a unique problem with my particular radio or if this is an engineering fault with this model. There is too much resistance when retracting the antenna and I actually bent the smallest section of the antenna the first time I ever retracted it. This would not have happened if the antenna were made more sturdy, or if it slid together more easily. This problem needs to be addressed by the engineers at Prunus. Conclusion:This is another great little radio from PRUNUS, though it does have its faults, and hopefully, those faults will be addressed in a future upgraded version of this model. In spite of its flaws, this is still an above average radio for its size and price range and I would still recommend it to others.
