This is a great book for anyone wanting to paint with watercolors. The paper is good quality and each page can be pulled out easily

I’m always trying new watercolor paper. There are so many options now compared to even 5 years ago. This is a very nice spiral sketchbook with decent paper. It can take a lot of abuse, as far as lifting and scrubbing. It can handle a lot of water and has a long drying time. I’d buy this again it’s very affordable and is definitely 100% cotton.

this paper is pretty nice, very thick, takes colored pencils, graphite, and paint - even acrylic - very well but may soak up some ink more than others, creating bleed or spread. watercolor, whether pencil or paint, saturates well without the paper getting misshapen or warped and the paint moves well along the texture of the paper, despite it's thickness. overall i like this paper, though the pad is a bit small and the perforations a bit difficult to tear for me to give it 5 stars based on price. the cover is also a bit thin/flimsy, but the back is a very thick kraft board.

These are a good size, and the paper is fine. However, the green part with writing on the cover is not removeable. You'll have to glue another picture or paper on top of it to have a decent book presentation.Very disappointing, because the picture on the front is otherwise quite pretty, it just needs to cover the whole front page, and the writing portion needs to be a tearaway removable paper. These 4 books do come in a sturdy white box which is great for storage until ready to use.

Each of the 4 pads came wrapped in plastic and all 4 in a carton box that protected the items. I tested one page with various watercolor techniques including wet on dry, wet on wet, blending and glazing. The section that I pre-wet with water for the wet on wet buckled but dried flat. No pilling even after lifting paint (cloud effect) and also from the flower and leaves.Compared to Arches, this paper seems more “bendable” or less stiff. But it still held up. I haven’t tried stretching it. It is just a tad less stiff than the Art Whale 100% cotton brand. For the price, I would probably buy this again for my practice projects since it is in journal/notebook format.I am an intermediate beginner watercolor painter. As of July 2024, this is a new product for me and after having used other cheaper watercolor paper that are supposed to be 100% cotton, this brand seems legitimately decent, especially for it’s price! I believe it’s even cheaper than some wood pulp products.I did not check where it’s from. That may be the difference if it’s from outside the USA.

This is exactly what I needed for a girl starting to paint. I believe the paper is professional quality and weight, sturdy for watercolors. The wire spiral will make easy access while painting.
