Now ordered two of these and both came with US plug and 110V power supply. No good for UK. Why Amazon can't understand this is beyond me. If electrical goods are sold in UK it must be suitable for UK electrical supply.Otherwise good build.

Quel bel outil. J'adore la vitesse variable comparativement aux vitesse aux choix , mais fixe. Permet le travail minutieux de très petites pièces.

For years, decades really, I've used Dremel products, and/or off brand clones, and been mostly satisfied with them. About a year ago, I started making wood rings, pendants, figurines and other carved wood trinkets using mainly a Dremel with a flex shaft and a knock off pendant flex shaft rotary tool.I eventually picked up a Dremel Stylo for detailed work and it worked pretty well but I burned it out in a couple months. So, after extensive research (looking at all manner of rotary tools, micro motors and such) I decided on the Proxxon 60.....this tool is in a whole different category from typical Dremels and clones. Sure they all spin a bit/burr of some sort but that's where it ends. The Proxxon is quiet, really quiet. The torque throughout the speed range is outstanding, it is light and easy to hold with no vibration but, best of all, it is accurate/refined. There's like zero runout making carving small details so much easier. The build quality is top notch (they way you'd expect from a German company...it's like over-engineered).If you just need a tool to complete rough tasks like cutting/grinding/polishing metal objects, basic sanding/carving in metal/wood/stone or similar things, a Dremel (or clone) is probably fine. However, it you need a tool that can do all of that plus really excel at fine detailed work, look no further. Just get yourself the Proxxon. You'll be thrilled with it!

Love it! Makes working with small items a lot easier. Foot pedal keeps your hands free to grip and move small pieces.

I have used a Dremel roto-tool for quite some time....and was never quite satisfied for plastic scale modeling. From the first application this Proxxon tool was perfect. Fits comfortably in the hand, like a pencil, great speed-control, very easy to operate and manipulate. Highly recommended!!

One of the jewelry industry websites recommended the Proxxon rotary tool as an economical alternative to Foredom products, which were far beyond my hobby-level budget. I'm glad I discovered it. The Proxxon tool is a joy to use. There is practically no vibration, enabling very precise work. If only my hand were equally steady! My previous rotary tool was a Micro-Lux micromotor. By contrast, the Micro-Lux tool had a noticeable vibration. My old dremel was far worse. The body of the Proxxon tool is slightly larger in diameter and slightly heavier than some of the competitors' micromotor tools (such as the micro lux). However, the Proxxon design compensates by allowing you to hold it near the collet end, for stability. I'm still getting used to it, but it's very comfortable. I primarily use the default 3/32" collet with my existing bits. Having other available collet sizes provides a definite advantage. My previous rotary tool did not have a separate transformer. The power cord, plugged into an outlet, would sometimes get snagged as I moved the tool around the workbench. The Proxxon configuration (transformer on the bench) greatly improves the situation. I like it. Proxxon sells a foot pedal switch that I plan to purchase later. All in all, I'm extremely pleased with this purchase.

I got a Proxxon to replace my Dremel when it started to wear down with age and use, and got a model similar to this one because it fit better in a hand when trying to do fine detail work on costumes or woodworking. I was also pleased to find out that the ventilation was also in a better place than the dremel, and less likely to clog with dust. I got this set for my son because he lives part time with his mother in Canada and sometimes likes to costume when he doesn’t have access to my tools. He loves it. Honestly, I think this is more versatile than mine, and being able to change out the heads is great. We’ll see how it is going forward with regular use, but so far I’m pleased!

I was interested in the 28594 Pen Sander and needed a power supply for it. This kit was perfect since for a just little more then one power supply I got a rotary tool as well as a carrying case. As with all Proxxon tools, the body feels solid and extremely well made. The actual diameter of the body is much smaller then other rotary tools I've used so it is much easier to hold and maneuver.

Really like this. The tool is very quiet compared to any other rotary tools I’ve used and the bits are good quality. The box is a nice touch too — keeps stuff together. I would totally buy more Proxxon.

Excellent quality, well built tool. Awesome that it has an inductive/brushless motor. It will last for years to come.Cons:- Does make a LOT of noise when cutting things.- Careful that you don't damage the cutting wheel by hitting the desk.- Obviously a vice would be helpful for some situations, but I'll make do.Pros:- You can't beat the portability and the small size & weight.- The included AC transformer allows extended reach from your power source.
