This did improve performance of 5G home Internet service but that didn't compensate for unreliable service from the provider. Local cable Internet prices came down so I switched and no longer use the antenna.

I was skeptical after reading the reviews. But, thought maybe the skeptics didn’t follow the instructions. I did. Had NO CONNECTION until I just put my box at my window again WITHOUT THIS. A complete waste of time. Grr

I ran a test tonight comparing to my current Waveform antenna, hoping to see an improvement as I'm right between coverage from three towers. The Waveform performed better, but it was a slight improvement over internal. Overall I will stick to the more expensive Waveform mini antenna as if I need to rely on my backup internet, chances are I need every Kbps I can get over everyone else.

First, I am using this to provide an external antenna for my MoFI 4G cellular router. I use the router on the road, primarily for data communication, both when I am parked while camping and while I am actually on the road. The easiest, fastest way to boost cellular voice communication is by using WiFi calling, connected to such a device, since there is no way to add an external antenna to most cell phones, to improve signal strength. Where I had 2 bars, I now have 4. I have not tested this driving across the boondocks in Utah, Wyoming, or either of the Dakotas. That test will come, this Fall.Because it is also intended for MiMo devices (Multiple Input, Multiple Output), it can also take advantage of multiple towers in range as well as multiple channels fo input signal, as long as the device connected to it can also take advantage. That is why I chose it to pair with my MoFi device.Second, I wanted to mount it using existing holes in my RAM1500 roof. Since I have an after market radio in the truck and I do not use any of RAM’s built in GPS or Vehicle support links, I removed the existing GPS antenna wart and installed the Proxicast 2x2 Low Profile 4G/5G Omni-Directional screw-mount antenna in its place. I had to use a large washer on the inside of the truck, but there was plenty of room between the headliner and the roof. The antenna also includes a self adhesive gasket, to seal between the antenna and the roof. Be sure to clean the roof thoroughly before installing.Third, the delivery was fast. Although I am a Prime member, I didn’t pay extra for special shipping, so I had to wait for a 2-day delivery. (Sorry, I can’t help being a little sarcastic about how impatient people have become, expecting instant gratification). Everything I needed was in the box, especially since the antenna is equipped with SMA male connectors (standard screw-on for most systems, including mine). No, I am not including any logs, measurements, channel tests, or other technical information. I am reporting the information that people who do not work for the telecommunications industry would want to know, without being bored to tears by reams of data. It works better than the same device with an indoor antenna and it is better enough to justify the cost.I will be ordering more to install on other family vehicles.

I had high hopes for this antenna but it failed to improve my signal or internet speed. I mounted the antenna on a platform with an 8 inch metal ground plane underneath. My signal was actually worse thanusing the telescoping antennas that come with my modem router which is a Cat 18 Cudy LT18.I then tried using the antenna with just the bracket that comes with the antenna. I got the same results.I had the antenna mounted on the outside of a window and I temporally ran the antenna leads through the open window to my modem. I get better signals when my modemrouter was located outside. So itmight be better to just locate the modem in a weatherproof box outside. I do not know what is inside of the antenna housing but I can't imagine it is worth the price, especially when it does not improve signal quality or internet speeds.

I used to get disconnected while playing video games in my semi truck over the road. Since I've upgraded to this new antenna my hotspot has not disconnected me once! I haven't mounted it, it's just laying on some cloth in an overhead storage compartment.I haven't been back to Georgia yet which is where the worst 4g-5g reception I've ever had is. So I don't know if it can mitigate the poor reception there. But I have high hopes given the performance increase I have thus far seen.See pic for the type of assembly that you may need to do. It's not for the faint of heart or those with fumbling fingers.

I use a Netgear MR1100 Mobile Hotspot Router. In some areas of poor cellular reception, I wanted an external antenna. The Proxicast ANT-121-M22 appears to be well made and it does improve cellular reception. My only issue is that the hardware nut used to secure the screw mount did not meet my expectation. My thought is that the supplied nut and lockwasher are cut to facilitate installation over the antenna cable. I replaced the supplied nut and lockwasher with a standard M12x1.0 nut. See the attached photo. Which nut would you choose to secure the antenna to a moving vehicle?

I live in the basement and use the Huawei Pro 2 routerI used to put the router adjacent to the window, which is at ground level, in order to get the best signal, and it was between 2 to 3 for the 4G and 5GAfter I bought this antenna and I also bought connectors, I replaced the internal antenna of the router and disconnected them completely, and connected this antenna to the motherboard of the router. I got a full signal, and the speed and ping are excellent.Knowing that I wrote a previous post saying that it did not improve anything for me, and I think that the problem was with the connectors that I bought in the past, and they were bad

I like Proxicast. I bought this specifically because I’ve seen some of their team on HAM podcasts and they know their stuff. I like this antenna, and it has a decent spec on the NanoVNA, the gain is basically there (-.05 under what’s listed). But I mist say I wasn’t entirely impressed with the materials (it’s also very tiny). The cord, case, and mount are all thin and feel cheap. I’m not sure why it’s labeled vandal proof, a child could rip this out (the mount its tin can thin). Also, I have a knockoff from China that preformed almost identically but at 1/4th the cost. Again, it’s just an omni antenna so I’m not expecting the world, I just assumed I’d get more buying from a north american company, and in this instance it felt the same. I enjoy paying more for high quality stuff that’ll last

Seller took too long to ship item and extended the delivery to en extra week.Sorry ,but when you pay extra for the same model ,because you were promised a closer shipping date , that is not acceptable. After reviewing more comments ,it also appears to be an overpriced low quality product. All in all I will get it slower but better quality.
