Only brand I'd consider for open face helmets. Only gotten better over time. Comfortable, well built, and between the padding, shell, and excellent chin strap it would be hard to find a better value. Not going to find a better helmet for bmx, skate, or other sports.

We got this for even cheaper because it looks to have been returned to Amazon. It is a great helmet and my son loves it. White color is easy to see in daylight and in darkness.

I can't describe how pleased I am with this helmet thank you. I've found it very difficult my entire life to find a helmet that is true to my head size (very small) so I read reviews here and ordered the small one, when I opened it I was shocked as my initial thought was, that's too small!!!! Never have I ever thought this when it comes to head gear! But actually it fits so very well, which in turn will give me better protection thank you very much! It's a brilliant quality helmet, get yourself one.

Got this for my 6 year old son (yes, he has a big head) and it fits great. Pro-Tec has been around since I was a teenager and I've always been happy with their products. The shell is a great design and build, pads and straps can be replaced/upgraded according to preference and or style.

I love this helmet: it's functional, it looks great, and it didn't break the bank. After using it for a few weeks now, I have to say I'm very pleased with it.My only issue with it is that it seems to come down a bit short on the sides of my head. There is a pretty large gap between my ear and the ear cutout on the side of the helmet. This doesn't affect the functionality of the helmet, but it does look a little silly. I should say, however, that I'm 6' 5", and I'm sure that my size is mostly why the helmet fits a bit off. I think it's safe to assume that the XL would fit most people perfectly.

Great helmet great price. I wanted a well made protective helmet for my 2 year old and 3 year old daughters. This is ideal. Looks great, fits perfect. Couldn't he happier. Hope this helps others wondering if this will work for toddlers-it's ideal!

Good helmet for the price but if you have a odd shaped head like mine don't buy this one. The inner foam is molded for a normal shaped skull and there is no adjustment

My son picked this helmet out and he loves it. The first was a little small so we did have to exchange for a medium but it was an easy process.

Brilliant piece of kit, a bit tired of putting a wolly hat under my open air cycle helmet which was freezing in winter and also let in rain as well. This boy is great, head is dry and warm in really cold conditions i put a piece of tissue down the front two air holes to stop the cold air coming in as well.The finish is top class a real high gloss shine with a very hard coating which seems to resist most things that it hits or scuffs.Had mine months and not a mark on it. Dont be put off by the snow board design its for bikes as well and most people say they think it looks great.I am nearly 60 and enjoy the different design from the "normal '' head gear and as well its so comfortable to wear as well.

I have used a "normal" high dollar bicycle helmet for years. My last one finally needed replacing,so I started looking around. I came across the Pro-Tec bicycle helmet and read some reviews. Most seemed to like it, but I wasn't convinced. I am more of a bicycle long distance tourer and this seemed more a mountain bike helmet.The surprises for me after I purchased this helmet were;1; The immediate feel of security compared to the high dollar helmets I was used to.2. The amount of air that was directed through the small holes in front of the helmet.3. Much easier to adjust for a good fit.I also like the color white. I started wearing only white shirts after about my second cross country ride because they seem to stand out better. The white helmet just adds to that visibility.I'll never go back to spending $100.00 for a helmet after using this one.

I needed a hat for cycling a city bike and this does the job. I have a larger than average head and so needed a good size and comfortable fit. This does both - and a kid crossing the road in front of me turned and said "great hat" It gets noticed :-)
