This thing works but if honestly took forever to burn simple grass out of the driveway cracks. I felt the flame was more reminiscent of a jogging torch than a flame torch. It was like holding a huge bic lighter upside down if that makes sense.

I will give my summary first, and if you want to hear the story, it will follow. Summary: So far this Hotdevil torch is the best burner I have ever owned, and I have owned several.I burn a lot of weeds and grass burrs etc. I have probably had 8 burners in my life and the problem with 4 of them is that the hose fittings leaked and I always felt like I was at risk. Plus, propane is not free. When I saw this relatively inexpensive burner I said to me, "There is no way that this cheap burner with a two part handle is going to be any good. But at that price I will buy it for the hose and attach it to one of my left over burners that never got used because the hose leaked." So I honestly bought this for the hose. But was I in for a surprise. This thing is heftily built and well designed. The two parts of the wand fit together well and DID NOT LEAK. The hose attached to the tank easily, and did not leak. And since the torch itself looked well made, I decided to give it a try instead of just stealing the hose. I pulled into the garage to keep the sun from hiding the flame, so that you can see that this thing is a monster burner. It has a rubber grip for comfort. I lit it several times and only once did I have to click the lighter twice. It is very adjustable with regard to flame size. I do believe that my grass burrs are in grave danger. So I repeat my original summary. This is the best burner that I have ever owned. If it starts leaking I will for sure stop by and say so, but I like every thing about this burner, and don’t expect to have to come back to edit the review.

I am concerned about chemicals in my food and especially in my garden. I don’t have the ability to sit and hand weed; nor the money to pay someone else to do so, so I was in a pickle! I saw something on HGTV about how using fire puts nutrients in the soil and avoids chemicals..and then saw this. I haven’t used it much, bc I had small propane cans that did not fit it (only regular sized ones work) and only had a little gas in an older tank, but I couldn’t wait to try it. IT WORKS! It was easy to assemble and the only difficulty I foresee is having to move a propane tank along with it, but otherwise this is amazing and an incredible buy!

I own a cabin up north and the weeds there can get very out of control. We have a walk behind, which we do still use, but this has been much less exhausting to operate. It works well, and it doesn't produce as pungent of a propane scent as once would expect. Like with any fire based product do be careful not to use this on brush or weeds that are too dry.

Pretty good. Easy to use. Used it to torch some dry grass.

I got this propane torch to do Shou Sugi Ban on my wood fence. The art of burning the outside of the wood slightly. It was easy to connect to the tank, well, my son set it up for me, so I will have to check with him to see if he had to add any fittings. But the ease and usage of it was a breeze! The technique is a little more difficult to get right than it looks on youtube, but I am enjoying the learning and this tool helps make it easier!

I have mad weeds growing in my paving stones. With much reluctance, I've tried several rounds of weed killer which hasn't been effective. I'm resorted to getting this thing even though I'm quite afraid of fire. At least I'm not putting more chemicals into the ground and having it leech into our ground water. Using this thing is only a temporary relief from the weeds, but for the time being it's as good as it gets.
