This may not work with the gen 1 of the lens (the one with no aperture ring) due to the focus barrel but I believe they changed that for the weather sealing or something in gen 2 because the barrel never goes "internal" or below flush with the front. As such the ring never "goes inside" the lens causing the issues in gen 1. This is further substantiated with the fact that the gen 2 comes with a screw on lens hood which would also cause damage if that was the case.

Great step up ring, unfortunately for me, the threads aren't deep enough to stand far enough off of the front of the 27m fuji pancake lens, meaning that the lens can't move in all the way while focusing.
