I purchased this because I wanted a convenient way to vacuum my garage and my back patio easily without dragging out the big shop vac. I'll be honest, I did not really expect it to work as well as it did. I live in West Texas and a thick layer of dust and dirt on everything is the norm. I mounted this in my garage near the door to my patio and the 30' hose reaches my entire patio and does an incredible job on my patio furniture and cushions. The cushions are large and heavy, and this vacuum has so much suction power it will pick them up. I have to use the brush attachment to cut the suction enough that I can easily move the head across the cushions. (That's a good thing) I can easily knock the task of cleaning my patio out in minutes (instead of an hour with my old shop vac). It can also be easily switched to a blower if I need to blow the leaves out of my garage. I am beyond happy with this vacuum!

I purchased this wall mounted shop vac back in 2015 for my automotive detailing shop. I literally use it 5 days out of the week for about 4 hours a day or more. Up until a few weeks ago it has worked flawlessly! It has PLENTY of power, easy to manage the hose and nozzle around interiors of vehicles and looks great on my shop wall and professional. The only reason it recently failed was because the circuit board burnt up due to an employee not installing the filter correctly which in turn clogged the exhaust some and caused it to overheat.I emailed Great Vacs about the situation and sent in photos of the burnt circuit board to see if they had parts to repair it vs buying another one at the moment. The got right back to me within hours of my email and had a new board sent out same day. It should arrive any day now and once it does, I will be back up and running again! I HIGHLY recommend this vacuum for professional shops and hobbyists. I will be adding 2 more to my shop soon. The noise level is not too bad either. Not nearly as loud as other shop vacs that I have used in the past. It isn't the quietest either but when you are working with headphones in and making money with it, it's easy to overlook the noise for sure!Great Vacs has top notch customer service with a top notch product!!!

I spent a considerable amount of time reviewing similiar products before choosing to buy a Prolux. The ability of this machine to handle wet as well as dry is paramount. Similiar products are just as expensive but are only made to accomodate dry debris. Also consider the fact that the filters are easily removable and washable! I have ruined enough shop vac filters over the years to immediately understand the benefit of this design. Power! Plenty of suction and a good aray of tools. The crevice tool is a MUST if you ever plan on removing hard to reach debris, especially between seats and center consoles. The lighted display tells you when there is a blockage as well as if the canister is full when vacuuming liquid. It's a simple straight forward machine that is fairly attractive on the wall amid my other car detailing equipment.I use this vacuum at least 4 times a week as I have 2 small boys, a new car, an old truck, a boat that is constantly dirty, and a riding mower. (Yes, the vacuum is great for cleaning off the mowing deck, and it doesn't matter if the clippings are wet). One more nice feature: BLOWER! If you have bought your kids inflateable pools before, you know how fun it is inflating them. Super easy with the vac, especially because I can inflate their pool in place thanks to the long hose. I would happily recommend this vacuum to anyone with kids, likes to detail cars, or is simply tired of having to drag around a corded vac. Oh, and we mounted ours right outside the door to the garage, so we can use it on the landing and stairs in the house as well. Great for rainy days, and coming home from the beach. Thanks

Not bad at all, it's been a good month now with this unit and it works as described. A few things to bear in mind though. First, with the length of hose, the suction suffers from what you feel at the inlet of the machine. I bought this to replace a clunky 6hp shop vac and that old vacuum still had plenty more suction. I sort of knew that going into the purchase though. There are an amazing amount of attachments that i'll probably never use but i do wish they had sectioned the hose in half so that there would be more pull when you are working in the bay closest to the unit. Overall, well built and great to use. But dont buy this if you think you need to replace a big shop vac with something equally as powerful.
