About this item

  • Engine Cylinder Leak Down Tester: Leakdown gauge tool hooks up to air compressor(prepare by yourself) can help to detect common engine faults such as worn piston rings, worn valves, cracks in cylinder walls and blown head gaskets
  • Dual Gauge: Allows the compression gauge tool to test the pressure and leak rate of the cylinder under test at the same time. Ranging from 0-100 psi / 0-7 bar and 0-100%(Accuracy: 0.5%). Suitable for most gasoline engines with spark plugs(within 20mm)
  • Package: On the basis of a common set(1 pcs double gauge maniflod,1 pcs rubber hose and 2 pcs metal adapters included), the tool kit adds 2 pcs universal push-on connectors, 2 pcs threaded adapters, 1 pcs M14 extension rod, and 1 pcs extension hose
  • Gauge: Manifold assembly with 18 inch hose, AR2000 pressure regulating valve, American type air plug and manifold body. Valve knob is used for pressure adjustment of the inputed air from the air compressor. Pull out for use, and push back to lock
  • Accessories: Straight and angled type universal push-on connectors don't need to be threaded into spark plug wells and applicable to almost all petrol engines, and M14 aluminum extension rod can be installed on long or short hose(41-3/4"; 11-1/2") end

Assist To Detect Following Engine Faults.

Worn piston rings, worn valves, cracks in cylinder walls and blown head gaskets.

  1. ensure that the air valve regulator is in the "off" position before connecting to the air supply.
  2. will require an air pressure of 45 to 100 psi.
  3. Warring! ensure the air supply is clean and does not exceed the pressure quoted. too high an air pressure and/or unclean air will shorten the life of the tester due to excessive wear and may be dangerous, causing damage and/or personal injury.
  4. drain the compressor air tank daily. water in the air line will damage the tester.
  5. clean compressor air inlet filter weekly.
  6. line pressure should be increased to compensate for unusually long air hose (over 8 meters). the minimum bore for hose and fitting is 1/4".
  7. keep hose away from heat, oil and sharp edges. Check hos es for wear and make certain that all connections are secure.
Safety Tips

Safety Tips

  1. Air pressure should be controlled within the range: 45-100 psi.
  2. Turn the knob counterclockwise first before the cylinder compression tester connects to the air compressor.
  3. Please read the instructions carefully before operation and best to be accompanied or guided by professionals as you work.
  4. Tidy up all used tools and equipment and never leave them in, on or near the engine.
  5. The item will be packed well to prevent damage in transit, if something ever fails, please let us know for a satisfactory solution within the effective period.

Works well, but the 10mm adapter for motorcycles with deep well spark plug locations the diameter is to large. Simple fix, quick turn down on the fitting to reduce diameter of the adapter and all was good. Calibration was spot on as well, tested with multiple gauges for reference 👍

It worked just as it was advertised and the case it came in was nice because it keeps all parts together.WEP.

A seperate quick release gauge on the manifold would have been more beneficial for a quick compression test or some quick release adaptor for another gauge. but, still, a very versatile compression tester.
