I am not returning this item because I'm hoping to modify the fitting I need to make it work for me. I have a 1999 7.3 Powerstroke. Description of item states that it will work on the 7.3 Powerstroke. DON'T YOU BELIVE IT!! I've attached a few photos to show the flaw. Number one the hex on the fitting is 14mm and the glow plug is a 10mm. The counter bore that the glow plug tightens down into is cut just big enough for a standard 1/4" drive 10mm deep socket to fit in. So there is not way you could tighten the fitting. The quick disconnect on the fitting barely has enough clearance to insert the fitting. The quick disconnect on the hose to the gauge is way to big to even line up with the fitting even if you were able to tighten the fitting. The quality of this set is impressive given that it came from China. Unfortunately if you have a 7.3 Powerstroke this tool will not work for you. Look elsewhere!

It’s a good kit, easy to use and seems that it will last a while. I’m very happy with it.

Great kit for the price did everything I wanted for checking my 5.9 Cummings only thing I would change would be the fitting on top to hook up air too. If it had a 90 degree fitting it would have made checking the back 2 cylinders way easier I ended up installing a 90 my self to make it work with out a fight. All in all great kit worked well.

That's all I have to say. Not for Gen 2, 12 valve Dodge trucks .One review indicated that it might work but It will not fit 1994 Cummins engines. Look elsewhere. Thanks.

I am currently working on a 1983 Chevy K20 with a 6.2l diesel. After replaceing the Injection pump I had nothing but problems with starting it. It would start but after along time of turning it over. And, yes I did bleed the fuel lines. I narrowed down the issue to either compression or the glow plugs were not heating as they should. Being that I had the intake off and the injectors and glow plugs out I decided to test compression first. I looked around and found this reasonable priced test kit. It arrived on time and it has quite a few testing adapters for a whole range of vehicles. All the adapters are steel and the gauge is oil filled and will go up to 1000 psi. It worked great for my application and it told me that the compression was in range. I later found out that the issues I was having was glow plug related. However, without this kit that little nagging question of what the compression was woud have drove me crazy.

says it works on '5.9l cummins' but it only works for the 12 valve (98 and older). does not work on 24v (98.5 and newer).
