This notebook is incredibly helpful especially when you first start rotations as a 3rd year medical student. It's organization makes oral presentations easy and it's set up exactly how interns/residents structure their daily patient notes/to-dos, making it easy to keep up with them. The size is perfect and fits into the pocket of my white coat. Well worth the money to feel organized and prepared on rotations!

This is a great outline for students beginning their rotations. The format helps you remember to ask all the details of the H&P and lines it up easily to write a SOAP note from the booklet. I think once the student is more advanced they may be able to downsize a little because we all know our white coat jackets fill up too quickly! But overall, I think it was a great purchase.

Newly minted third-year medical student starting rotations and this notebook is definitely helpful. I initially bought the black version of the notebook (H&P only), but returned it in favor of this one as I realized that this version came with separate pages for progress notes. While the H&P only notebook may be useful for outpatient, in most inpatient rotations, you'll follow up with a patient on multiple days, so having progress note pages is incredibly helpful so you don't have to carry a separate notepad for progress notes. The templates make it easy for information to be organized and help you knock out patient presentations. I recommend this to anyone starting rotations to use as you begin getting used to take H&P and progress notes.

I just recently started my clinical rotations as a 3rd year medical student and my patient encounter journal was a mess this past week. The MedicalBasics Progress Note + H&P just arrived for me this Friday and looking through it, I can't wait to put it to use this Monday!Size: It is definitely slightly bigger than I originally expected. It does not fit in one of my whitecoat pockets (Figs WhiteCoat) but does fit in my other one so it depends on the whitecoat brand.Templates: As shown in pictures, font is perfect and so is the space provided. Has mostly everything you can need for your SOAP and progress notes and helpful way to stay organized while doing your history/physical as well.Truly recommend this for anyone in the field !

This is my most essential resource on inpatient rotations. The format saves a tremendous amount of time during pre-rounding and has a perfect amount of detail in the template to ensure you never forget pertinent components of your history or physical. I love the combined format (H&P on first set of pages, followed by progress notes for up to 4 days), which allows me to stay organized during patient presentations and quickly refer to prior days for trends in labs/vitals/etc. Also facilitates with charting as the layout is identical. Would recommend to all med students entering their clinical years!

I am doing a sub-internship during my 4th year of medical school, and have found this H&P/SOAP notebook crazy useful. It's nice because it's not just H&P's, but has the SOAP's also for 4 days of follow-up on each new patient. The print is small but the notebook fits in my white coat pocket so it makes it easier. Super recommend for medicine/hospital rotations. They should make a full size one thats h&p's and soaps!

Bought these books at the beginning of third year MS. So far they had no use during Psych or Peds rotations. At the beginning of ICU I started with my computer for notes but I was too slow so I switched to these notebooks. They have actually been a great help. They keep my notes and pts organized. I do have to tweak each pg up to fix the criteria that's needed for ICU pts vs ED pts, etc., but I think it's worth the small changes (white out and numbering) since it prompts you to obtain all the other basic information needed. I would say what I hate the most is that there is very little space. I have to make sure to write really small which is hard when trying to write fast. I also don't like that the soap notes are on the back side of the H&P for the next pt thus I can't tear those pgs out. All in all it is useful and I would buy it again to save me the time of writing out a template each time I see a new pt. If I was faster at typing though it would be better to make the template on the computer and take notes that way, I wouldn't bother with these notes books.

I am a DNP student currently in my clinical rotations in hospital based medicine. This product has been very helpful in keeping my patients organized for their hospital stay. Itβs small enough to fit in my pocket & because I write small I have more than enough space for all of my information. The fact that there are 4 days per patient is very helpful as I have to round daily. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that the perforated sheets too easily rip out. Once I figured this out I learned not to turn the pages too aggressively as to keep the pages intact. This is a great product for anyone needing H&P as well as subsequent hospital days on each patient.
