High quality, rackets are good quality and net was solid and easy to set up. Definitely a good summer purchase for the family!

The quality of this set goes beyond the backyard! We had hoped to “just get the grandkids a *taste of badminton.” I had recently renewed my interest while watching the Olympics. “Just get a backyard set, it’ll probably disappear in no time anyway.” Well, having just ordered my own competition-grade racquet, I looked-into what’s available for kids. Everything I studied under $80USD was total (disappearing) junk. Then this set was offered —as a suggestion “similar to [my] recently-viewed items.” Seemed $pendy for grandkids, but we’re *all glad I opted for this upgrade. I was very surprised! The net is first-class, sets-up in grass by one person in minutes, VERY sturdy, seems long-lasting. Pegs and ropes are strong and detach from poles easily. The ratchet to keep the net taut is a huge timesaver, and the net itself is durable and UV resistant: we’ll just leave it setup all summer! The poles could outlast me— with one caveat: ensure they’ll drain any water, or they might rust from inside. The racquets could be used in the beginners’ competition gym: they’re strung at about 20lbs (perfect for a first taste smash), strong and light in carbon fiber, reasonable flexibility, balanced mid-height, and grips are small enough for an 8yo. [The very specs suggested to me for beginners.] In short, you’ll be glad you got this— despite the added co$t— and your kids might give it to theirs. The other stuff will just break!——-Updated 3/2023:: Still looks “new”; functional as ever, racquets remain strung tight after 2 sets of grandkids using regularly= 5stars not enough.Show me another set that wouldn’t be forgotten in the trash by now!

This is a sturdy set and great for parties and summer activities. BUT in order to get the poles back into the bag you would have to unscrew the entire net tension portion and then put it all back together again next time you use it. If they had just made the bag a little longer you could leave the side poles mostly intact and store away easily. Also, does not come with lines. Most nice volleyball nets I've owned come with rope that has corners marked for lines. That would have been nice. We just play on the honor system but when dad and the boys get out there it would be nice to know where the lines are!

This set arrived 3 days ago, but it was raining so we weren’t able to set it up until today. 2 of the 4 rackets arrived cracked (see image) where the string holes are drilled. I don’t know how long they will last, as one is already cracking down the side of the frame. For the price, I would expect a little better quality than arriving already breaking. The net is really nice, however. My daughter (13) and I were able to set it up ourselves fairly quickly and the crank to add tension to the top of the net is a nice addition over similar nets. The net seems to be sturdy and is a nice size for backyard play. I considered returning the entire set after finding cracked rackets, but I think I will keep it for the quality of the net and contact the seller about the defective pieces .. will update review after contacting customer service.Update:I sent a message to customer service regarding the cracks in the rackets, they were responsive (even on the weekend) and worked out a way to make it right for me as soon as possible. I appreciate the understanding and effort of the customer service representative I got to work with. Top notch. As it has been a few more days and the net has been put to much more use, I can say it has not budged one bit. The top is not sagging at all and everything seems sturdy and secure.Thank you Patiassy!

The net system is well constructed though the net holes are a little larger than those to which I'm accustomed. The overall build of each component (and the real feathered shuttles) is such that you feel like you've made an investment that will be good for years to come rather than a kit that will only last a season or two made of lesser plastics and lighter duty cordage. The first unit I received arrived with some shipping damage and a racket with a handle installed at an odd rotation. An email to the seller (manufacturer) yielded a fast replay and a promise of a full replacement. The summer came and went and I followed up with customer service which provided the shipping request but agreed that no proof-of-delivery was in the system. The excellent representative ordered me another complete kit which I had in 3 days time. I would highly recommend this set and the company that stands behind it.

I live out in the country with a huge yard and wanted something the family could do together, we initially bought the $40 set off amazon and just threw it away after one of the flimsy 1" diameter plastic poles broke after about 10 days of using it. I then saw this set on amazon and decided to spend the money for a better quality product. This set is very well made and should last for years not days. It has been designed to give you all the features you need to make set up and storage simple, the included zippered case holds everything neatly together, the poles are sturdy, powder coated with built in feet and have the simple nipple locks that join the poles together, the net is very well made as are the racquets. Even the ropes that hold up the net and poles are well designed with a built in hook to attach to the poles, pre measured thick nylon and attached to solid metal stakes. My favorite feature is the net winch that comes pre attached and allows you to tighten the net by using the ratchet to keep it at the proper tension. This is also my only complaint about this set. The ratchet handle slips on but has no set screw or locking mechanism to keep it attached to the winch so it falls off easily. This is the set where you get what you pay for, not cheap, but superb quality and built to last.
