So far I’m happy with it, of course I’ve only had the opportunity to use it once.

Sander does a good job and is durable enough to sustain a drop on the ground. The speed knob needs to lock in place or be more secure than it is. It is very easy to move the speed knob on accident while using.

I work in a metal shop, I use DAs all day long. I have noticed it is on the heavy side it is also taller than my normal 3m DA.The 3m DA is rated at12,000 this DA is rated at 10,000. I have to say this DA blows 3m DA away for the power it brings!! This DA has a round stabilizer in it which makes this DA a lot smoother to work with! The only draw back o have noticed so far is it did not come with a filter to muffle the noise.I even let a co-worker use it, he was very shocked on how powerful it was.I'm impressed with this DA so far!!I hope this will last longer than 3 years like the 3m ones....

May not be a professional tool, I don't know, but for my hobby use it works fine.It comes with the hook and loop disk. So you have to use compatible sanding disk. Who would guess.

I work in a fabrication shop Stainless steel, aluminum, standard steel, and wood. Lot of finishing work. After 2 months this thi g is ready to fall apart. 10hrs a day, 6 days a week. When it was new out of the box. It was definitely louder than Dynabrade. Close to the same sound of a Husky air 6". But I would by a Husky before I waste my money on This piece of $###. I have a Husky 6" as well. Good sander. For the price you can't beat it. But if your going to be sanding for hours. Get a Dynabrade. Quiet for a air tools and won't vibrate your hand numb. This cheap China tool is ok for the occasional user. I took a belt sander and sand off the the hook and loop on the pad and made it smooth for self-adhesive 5" disc's. Works great. This sander vibrates more an more as it gets used. Starts getting a little louder as well. For power it's not bad. If you need a cheap sander for once in a while. Buy it. Professional use. Never!!! This thing will cause Carpal Tunnel.

Used for about 1 hour so far with excellent results on a front fender. Teflon tape the connector threads for added seal. I use 6" pads on the 5" head to keep from digging into the curves of the panel. Set the compressor out pressure to about 90 psi (note that the paddle says not to exceed 90 psi). The speed is controlled by both the valve under neath & the paddle on top. Adjust the valve for your desired max rpm by pressing the paddle all the way down. You can now adjust the rpm by how far you press down on the paddle. I am very pleased so far. Works like the expensive pros, hope it holds up.

I have used the same industrial orbital sander for the past 15 years. It was a 3m that can’t be bought now, all metal and designed for non stop use. Well over $300 back then. Well, all good things come to an end, it finally gave out and I don’t do as much work as I once did. Plus I’m on a fixed income and can’t swing that kind of money now.So I bought this with a little hesitation worried of the quality. It did cone in packaging that certainly indicates it is not made in the USA. I don’t care for hook and loop, so I got a sticky pad for it.I have already put about 15 hours of hard use on it and I have to say, I’m impressed. Low vibration, doesn’t suck my compressor dry. I do have a large commercial air compressor, 80 gallon 7 HP, but it kicks off and on while continuous use of the sander. It runs very similar to my previous very expensive 3m.It fits the palm of the hand nicely, it will stay running while placing heavy pressure on it and it just performs, way better than expected. It is used for sanding paint, bondo and fiberglass, basic body repair.I do not use on wood so could not rate it for that. However, I believe this sander is well worth the cost and I recommend it for being a good quality, durable sander.

Nice working unit. Read all the reviews & the one that said. "At least a 30 gal. tank." Well, 30 gal is just getting me through the small refinish job on my truck's hood. My beef if finding 80 & 120 hook & loop locally. Even here the 80 & 120 grit hook & loop weren't paired with this unit AT ALL, had to hunt for them. Why would anyone need adhesive backs for home work shops outside of large sanding wheels & other large tools? And why the heck are they still pushing common screws at us. If one isn't doing antique restorations why use a common screw for anything. Sorry mates, got carried away.
