Sometimes a less expensive opener is better. I purchases a more costly opener and had to return it. It didn't open anything and it was a major name brand. The Proctor Silex is doing a great job at opening all cans and I highly recommend it

Its ok. Need to train yourself to put can inplace then works well. Not really good for zip top cans. Noise not as quiet as told. Once can is inplace cutting. Louder

You can open the taller cans. Very important to me! Easy to use, and the magnetic top holds the lid does not fall into the vegetables or whatever you’re opening.

I love this can opener. The manual one I had was so bad I didn't want to cook if I had to open cans for a recipe it would take forever and my hands hurt. Now I look forward to it. It takes even tall cans with ease. I don't have to even hold the can or grab the top before it falls. It also takes up very little space on my counter top.

The best thing I can say is this product is attractively designed. BUT, it doesn't work. It will not seat and secure the can and the can must be supported. It will not turn the can when motor is engaged. The motor is shockingly noisy and emits a disturbing grinding sound. I hope this is a defective product but would not ask for a replacement because I believe it has very limited usefulness. Maybe OK for tomato paste can if you can tolerate the grinding and other unknown mechanical noise.
