I am almost done with the probiotic. The first week my dog farted a lot. Even though he got half dosage to get him accumulated the house suffered and smelled very bad. The second week my dog farted less as his body got used to the probiotic. He loves the probiotic, I mix w his food and he licks the bowl clean. I started him on an probiotic for gut health. He wasn’t having any issues before the powder and he’s not having any issues after the powder so I think that’s a plus. His poop continues to be solid. I would definitely continue the probiotic and I highly recommend one if your dog is on an antibiotic to help bring good gut health.

This came packaged very well. A light & moisture-proof bag inside the jar, with a scoop for measuring. The instructions on the jar indicates this is good for cats as well as dogs, which is a big plus. One thing I’m not happy about is the scoop doesn’t have a marking for a ½ scoop measure, and the amount for my chihuahua and cat are both ½ scoop. So I have to guess and it isn’t straightforward as the scoop is a little bowl-shaped thing which is smaller at the bottom and larger at the top, so I’m not sure where the actual half way is. Being pro-biotics, it isn’t critical, just annoying. It is a fine powder, so I think you pretty much need to sprinkle some water or broth over dry food, or use moist/wet food. It either doesn’t have a taste, or the taste is neutral because neither my kitty or my dog even noticed it was added to their food. You don’t use much, that scoop is small, so the jar will last quite a long time, and the 8 different strains in it is a real health plus. This is going to keep them healthy and energetic naturally. I give it 5 stars.

When I purchase any probiotics for my dogs, I always look for ones that contain enterococcus faecalis. This is the active probiotic in fortiflora, and I've found it to really work well for firming up loose stools.I have sprinkled this on two of my dogs' food and both eat their food without any issue at all. I really like that it also contains digestive enzymes and prebiotics. My only complaint is that it's not made in the USA.

My doggos have sensitive tummies and need pre and pro. I add to their dry food meals and they eat it with no problem. There is no funky odors which is nice as it doesn't prevent my digs from eating their food (unscented). The powder is super fine and comes with a cute heart shaped scoop. For me, this was a 1st to have it arrive in a separate sealed bag, so I had to pour it in the container. I didn't mind this as it probably helps keep it fresh and sanitized until it's in my possession.

My dogs have tummy troubles. This has helped keep the gurgling to a minimum and they have no troubles pooping.
