This trombone case was purchased for a middle schooler that has to carry his instrument to school every other day. It's a trombone, so it's bulky and annoying, but the variety of straps are perfect. Shoulder style, backpack or hand carry. Trombone fits perfectly. I wish the mouthpiece had a designated spot in the case instead of in the side pocket. Putting mouthpiece in side pocket gives limited folder space. A standard music folder just fits. Almost doesn't lol. But this specific case was chosen bc of the side pocket for music. Padding seems to be sufficient. Overall very happy.

I love the attached zippered music pouch. The interior is customizable with removable plush lined foam inserts. Plenty of room for my Conn 88H.

So much nicer than carrying a hard case. The straps make getting around a lot easier, especially when your hands are full of other things like chairs and stands. Big pocket holds extra mouthpieces and other essentials. Highly recommend.

This case has made my life as a trombonist SO much easier! It’s spacious enough to fit all types of trombones, incredibly lightweight, gives you plenty of options to lug it around, and has so many compartments for music, devices, stands, mouthpieces or whatever else your sacbut-blowing heart desires. 10/10

楽器を入れる部分のクッション性が抜群なのと、ポケットが充実してるのとで、すごく気に入りました。ファスナーも頑丈そう。マウスピース入れ、譜面台入れ、A4サイズのポケットがあるはとにかくありがたい。

I had given up on gig bags until I found this. It's smaller, more convenient, and easier to use than my old one, with the same great backpack shoulder straps as my Pro Tec Max bass and tenor trombone cases, though bell-down instead of bell-up. The music pocket is useful, molded feet protect the fabric both standing up and laying down, but the BEST FEATURE is that my open-wrap horn fits with the F-slide pulled out (!), unlike the Pro Tec Max tenor case.

This case is everything I hoped it would be and more. I have a Yamaha YSL F attachment tenor trombone that fits perfectly. I can also fit a music binder and my trombone stand into the case. I still have to carry my stand and mutes separately but it sure helps being able to carry my trombone backpack style so I have two free hands! This case IS waterproof - this has been tested. It is extremely lightweight and still feels like it has enough padding to protect my trombone.

Got it today. Fits my king 4b nice & snug. Has extra space at the top though not enough to fit my straight or plunger mutes. The mouthpiece & accessory pouch is nice though I would add a couple spots to slide mouthpiece brushes & such into. I guess the pouches in the music folder holder would work. The slide divider should attach across bottom of case & should have a cover to completely separate it from the horn. There is no space in the trombone stand pocket or anywhere on this bag for a fold up music stand & it is almost too tight for a Hamilton trombone stand alone.Purchasing this highest priced “all in one” bag was to eliminate carrying several bags yet I am still carrying a fold up music stand bag & a mute bag separately.Overall well designed except for forgotten space for must have standard items every trombone player needs in their case. One other design flaw is no waist belt stabilizer for backpack rig. I will have to make one if I expect it to stay on my back when I cycle to practices. Yet where will I carry my stand & mutes on my bicycle??

This Protec gig bag fits the bill nicely. My Rath 400 sits nicely with plenty of room.

I bought the Protec PL239 to replace my 15 year old Protec gig bag. This easily fits my Bach 42B with closed wrap F attachment and looks like there is room for the open wrap as well. The music pocket is large enough to hold my 12.9" iPad Pro, which was not available when I bought my first Protec bag. The only thing I wish was different is that I carry 2 brass mouth pieces and there is only space for 1 in the pocket just to the right of the music pocket. I put the other mouth piece in there, but it just rolls around. I do carry a 3rd mouth piece, but it is a Kelley plastic and goes into the separate bag that comes with the case where I put my slide lubricant, water bottle, valve oil, mouthpiece brush, toothbrush, and toothpaste. :-)I noticed immediately the reduction of weight from my 15-year old Protec gig bag primarily because the old case was internally made of wood and this new one is not. So, if you have been lugging around those older cases made of wood, then you will love this bag.I am still keeping my old bag for when I travel with my instrument because this new one does not have quite the same protection, but seems to keep it reasonably safe, just not enough to put in an airplane's baggage hold.
