A strap was pulling loose on my last case and then the handle totally ripped off. I like that the handle on this case is not screwed in but is made of straps. The Shoulder straps also seam heavier duty. And I like that the backpack straps have a cover when not in use. The pockets inside are sufficient to hold everything I had before. And I love the large pocket on the outside for my lyric sheets, plus the small pocket for some miscellaneous items, like strings.

This was an upgrade from a much smaller older violin case and I love this case. It might not be the ideal case for young or smaller violinists or musicians who are taking it on a flight as it is quite big & bulky. However it has plenty of storage and pockets for your books, sheet music and your accessories. I also feel confident my violin and bows are safe and secure in this sturdy case.

Plenty of room to store the necessary tools for violin practice. Violin fits snugly and bows are not bouncing around. Multiple storage pockets are thoughtful and useful. Very light case. Worth it protecting such a valued instrument.

It has a lot more pockets than my last case and it holds a lot more. The only thing is that it doesn’t have a shoulder rest pocket. But it holds everything in fine. It’s really light. And it looks great great price for the case I like the black interior.

Unlike the new Crossrock I also purchased, this one holds a full size Kun shoulder rest! No need to store it under the violin neck, which is not desirable if you want to keep your instrument in top condition. Open the end flap and drop it in, it is a snug fit. The MX144 has plenty of pockets and straps.

This is a great violin case. My violin feels very secure and I had plenty of room for my books and music notes. The case is very durable Although it looks heavy, it is not

This is the one! I’ve searched everywhere for a case that can handle my sons bonmusia shoulder rest. He puts it in the large flap on the side of the case. This case is very sturdy and has tough exterior fabric. Zippers are solid construction and 3 doors on the inside snap firmly shut. Holds violin safe and secure. Has a solid feel when carrying it. Not too light and not too heavy. Sturdy carry handle and had backpack straps sewn In if needed. I can see this lasting many many years, well past college. Love it! You won’t be disappointed!!

Very durable and easy to carry. A little heavier than expected and a bit bulky, but protects instrument.

I just received this today but I have to say, I am extremely impressed. I've been playing the fiddle many years and for the price, this has to be one of the best cases I've seen. The foam is heavy, solid and dense. The pocket layout is well thought out, offering two external pockets for gear and music. I haven't much use for them because I play by ear, but I can see how they'd be handy for music readers. The interior is brilliant! It's a rich midnight black velvet. There are three pockets. Two to either side of the neck hold any of the small odds and ends a violinist may need from time to time, such as peg grease or rosin. A large pocket at the end is big enough to hold a large tuner/recorder/metronome, extra strings and any other larger essentials. This is the first violin case I've ever had with plenty of room to spare in those pockets, and it's not any bigger than any other rectangular case I've ever had, just very well thought out. My irreplaceable hand carved fiddle, made by a brilliant local luthier, fits perfectly in its space with no play, and the velvet cloth cover it is just the right size and extremely fine. The case offers two bow holders which both lock the bows in just well enough to be firm without stressing them. It has two hand holds, a shoulder sling and shoulder straps so you can carry it backpack style, which is great for me as I often take my fiddle on backcountry camp outs. I think for the price, you couldn't get a better case. In fact, I don't think you could get a better case at several times the price.
