It's lightweight and does the job. My other violin case from Fiddlershop is far more cushioned and makes me feel like everything is protected. Everything in this case feels rigid.The violin cutout is too large for my 4/4 violin and I worry about it sliding around. That wouldn't be a problem if it was cushioned.The hygrometer hasn't changed from 70 since I received it, but fortunately I have a GoVee wireless hygrometer that I didn't need in my other, functioning case, so I put that in this one.I learned that I could only store the top bow if it's inverted, so I can live with that.Overall, for the money, I can live with it. I think I'll just put my less expensive violin in this one and use the nicer case for the nicer violin.

I bought this case as an upgrade to my previous one as I was transitioning into my first semester of music university. The case overall looks and functions well, however, the durability of the case is not great—especially if you plan on wearing the case backpack style. There’s been significant tearing in the seams over my (almost) semester of use. I wouldn’t recommend this case to anyone who plans to use it regularly or commutes with their instrument regularly.
