If you can get to an area that hasn’t heard shots yet a use it accordingly but also doing one at a time it will probably work. I’ve had them call back multiple times but other times no

Not as good as the wood call I had for some 20 years but nice, light, bright color and very affordable. My only dislike is learning to squeeze the call a little to get a higher pitch to more accurately mimic a true tone for quail calling.

Search for an online video by Haydells Game Calls on their P90 Pheasant Call. This will show you the best way to hold this (the Primos Call) in your hand as well. Then, most sources will tell you to make a ‘Tukka’ noise whilst blowing into the call. I’d agree but make sure you play around; not all Pheasants call the same way and I find varying between a ‘Turr Gan’ and ‘CaTurr Gan’ sound seems to get the best callback result to zero-in on a roosters location… that and a dog.All jokes aside, there’s so truly awful videos of people attempting to use this call, amusing yes, but educational? No…Not had much joy with other calls, particularly the flushing call so combining with a Turkey Call Diaphragm is a solid way to get the males running in like a horny teenager…

Just a single rubber band sandwiched in some plastic so longevity is questionable, but it’s low priced.Used for Gamble’s making the “Chicago” call. The call is definitely off in tone but I can get coveys to respond so it works.

Great sound, loud, just don’t bite down on the plastic or distorts the sound. A real good “bang” for your buck, works well for California quail. Quail respond quickly to this call. It has Held up for 2 seasons so far, and I expect to get many more out of it. Buying one for my dad for next season. Real gem. Wouldn’t go hunting without one.

Ready to use, you have to adjust the rubber band tightness to get it it to sound like a quail not a gazoo. Doesn't sound quite right but I may need to adjust the rubber band more but I don't want to go too tight or it might snapUpdate, once you get the thing adjusted right it will work. Quail do respond to this easy call. I was surprised, while calling with this thing after dog flushed up a covey and I missed them all, my dog got all tangled in the sage. In the 7 minutes it took to get her untangled when I went back to hunting 4 quail flushed up right where I just was ie they came to this call.

Nifty little call. wood construction and with a little practice makes accurate sounds, Comes packed on a card with directions on the back. No lanyard but I had an extra, The directions are a little bit on the light side - but if you hunt pheasants you know what they sound like. Beginners should watch a video on youtube or have someone show them how to use it. All I all though, its a nice little gadget for not a lot of money and its worth carrying afield, The first pheasant you locate will pay for it.
