It's not horrible but doesn't really sound like a hawk to me. This one is just a high pitched whistle to me.

This is a very interesting hawk call. You don’t simply blow this caller… you have to play it like a trumpet… using your free hand as a “mute”. It takes a little experimentation to figure out how to get the most realistic sound out of it. You have to start off if you’re right handed with your left hand covering the end (the bell) of the call. Start building up air pressure, but keeping your free hand over the end (bell) and slowly let your hand away from it, but keep it ready to cover it.It reminds me of somebody playing a trumpet, and using a mute to shove into the front of the horn. Once you figure that out it’s amazing.

I ordered Primos Power Hawk #352. I was worried about how difficult it would be to mimic a hawk cry but nailed it right out of the box.We had very nice weather here today and I was able to scout out an area with some hawks today. Providing there is good weather tomorrow I will come back and update once I test in the field. So far so good, this simple whistle unlocks ours of learning and fun to explore.

As far as quality, it's Primos period. A company that caters to a consumer with very high expectations doesn't get as big as Primos by producing junk.

Gave it to a friend who lives in the country, as a Christmas gift. He already opened the gift and is having a blast calling hawks.

This is nothing but an annoying whistle. Maybe call the kids or dog, but regardless of hand placement, it just doesn't get it. Save your money and purchase Faulkner brand.

Not very good product. Had a cheaper one that broke and it worked better then this one

Pretty durable. Your very simple, basic hawk call. Can be blown very loud but can not be toned down very much at all! Good for windy days. Will fit in your pocket. Comes with a metal lanyard ring.
