Sadly many box stores or sewing stores no longer carry all the needs of drapery and this cord was something I could not find so took a chance on it working. It does, glad I got a 100ft roll as I have 2 more large windows with pull drapes. Price is right, product is right, easy to use and I am pleased.

Used to rethread a curtain traverse rod and draw cord. Worked as expected. Now what do I do with the remaining 250'? LOL

the string is light weight, smooth. very little friction which is good for some applications. I needed some for a repair job and now have more than I will probably ever need

My whole house had vintage Kirsch curtain rods when I bought it. The rods are in perfect shape and high quality, so I am going to keep them. But, the old pull cords were dirty and dingy and disgusting from decades of use. This cord matched the original vintage Kirsch cords perfectly and was easy to replace. I used some duct tape to conned the old cord to the new cord and then carefully pulled it through. After cutting the ends, I used a lighter to burn the ends so that they wouldn't fray. The new cords look great and I am very happy.

I used this cord to re-string an old 10 foot long traverse rod. The lined curtains on this rod are heavy but there is very little stretch to this cord as it operates. The thickness of the cord seems just right. Less force is needed to open and close the curtains than with the old cord. I’m very pleased with this cord’s performance.

Found line was not continuous on spool. It was tied with a square knot about half way into spool. Wasted a lot of line to work around short lines.

The first time I fixed our traverse rod, I used thinner cord, thinking that it didn't matter because the nylon was practically indestructible. I was wrong, a little more than a year went by before it frayed and broke. So this time I ordered this thicker cord. I haven't had it for a year yet, but it feels much sturdier when opening and closing the drapes. I found that it fits the pulleys better making it less likely to pinch and break.
