The Prime-Line C 1201 Sliding Patio Door Handle is a non-keyed slide door handle replacement. It is non-handed for use on left or right sliding patio doors. The clamping mechanism on the sliding door handle replacement features a unique extruded aluminum saw-tooth style clamp that engages automatically when the slide door handle is in the locked position, and the door is slid closed. This sliding glass door handle consists of an extruded aluminum inside pull and a diecast constructed outside pull, both in a black- painted finish. The inside pull of the Prime-Line door handle features a decorative wood grain strip and the outside pull sits flush inside the framework of the sliding door panel. The door handle hook has mounting holes 3 inch on center. The clamp style sliding door handle includes mounting hardware. A Phillips head screwdriver is required for installation. The handle worked well for a couple months but then one day one of the screws snapped and the handle was hanging off the door. I was able to replace the screws with stronger ones and it is working fine now.***UPDATE DO NOT BUY***Its been less than a year since I’ve been using this and it sucks. I’ve had to replace the screws multiple times because the would snap including the originial ones it came with. I switched to stainless steel screws, these have not snap but will slip off the flush mount plate. The flush mount plate no longer takes and screws without falling off whenever I try opening the sliding door. Also the little plastic caps on the slide handle have fallen off so many times that I just decided to leave it off. Now I am having to search for a replacment flushmount plate or just replace this unit entirely. Never again will I buy from this company.

The sliding door handle with a lock was easy to install as it fit exactly as the old one that I replaced. The locking mechanism on the old one was damaged.

I had little hope of finding a replacement for a 1986 slider. Works great, they did cheap out a bit on the wood sticker though. I ended up removing the wood stick, prefer the black look.

My patio door could only use this exactly door clamp. Very easy to installed (did it while taking care of my baby). Works well and it fit perfectly in our patio door.

I am sure glad I stumbled across this replacement handle for my early 1980's sliding glass door. It was an exact replacement for the old one and works perfectly.

At a local hardware store, I found a sliding door lock that looked similar and bought it. It didn't have the finger grip indents on the outside. Because of this, it didn't install properly. After I checked Amazon, I saw the difference and ordered the correct one. It installed correctly in 5 minutes.
