Your cart is empty.Lock nuts (or locknuts) feature a nylon insert that grips onto threads and resists loosening due to vibration. It is best to only use each nut once as its holding power is reduced if reused. They should not be used in extremely high heat or in certain chemical environments as that could weaken the plastic insert.

the nylon washer in the end of the nut is too small. it does not allow room for the bold to go through, I twisted one bold off trying to get it tight and had to cut another one off because i couldn't back out the bolt

The nylon jams on any bolt put into this nut. The bolt can not be removed or completely tightened. I have broken two bolts just trying to remove the nut.

These are good quality lock nuts. Similar to other lock nuts I have purchased at West Marine for over twice the price for this size.

Nut is not properly machined and has a tendency to gaul. Buyer beware.
