About this item

  • Diameter-Thread Size: 1/4 inch-20
  • Inside Width/Compatible Pipe Diameter: 1/2 inch
  • Used to secure pipe, conduit, cable or other cylindrical objects
  • Requires pre-drilled holes (hole should be the same diameter as the threaded post)
  • Includes U-bolt plate and 2 nuts

U-bolts feature machine threading on both arms and are designed to be inserted into two pre-drilled holes. They are primarily used to anchor cylindrical objects such as pipe, conduit, cable, tubing, round bar or rope. In some applications, U-bolts may be inserted into wet concrete with the threaded arms pointing up. Once the concrete sets around the "U" shaped end, the U-bolt will be firmly anchored into place and the protruding threaded tips can be used to attach objects to the concrete.

These are not 1/4" in thickness, they are much closer to 3/16" thick and probably a metric size. The 1 inch width and 1 1/2" depth are accurate dimensions. Very disappointed in the presentation of the ad.

The product itself appears to be good quality. However, I must rate it only 2 stars because they are not 1/2 inch U-bolts as stated. They are in fact 1 inch in width. I tried to contact the seller to notify them, but their contact info is also incorrect.

I was surprised in the good quality of these U-Bolts. They did the job to keep a pipe secured.
