Used this OEM part on a P-118 series hot/cold hydrant installed in my garage. After about 20 months, the original vacuum breaker in the unit started to weep water and drip. The part is just plastic, and I think overtime it deforms and does not seal well. This replacement part was an exact replacement needed to get drip free again. During installation, I was cautious not to over torque the part since it is just plastic. Although not used in the original installation, I did find that a few wraps of Teflon tape improved sealing to improve the chances of a leak free joint.

So I watched a you tube video on leaking outdoor spigots. It appeared easy enough to do with the correct parts. I was able to read the part information from the silver cap on my spigot and find the part on Amazon. It’s a simple repair and once a got the part, took less than 2 minutes. Saved me hundreds in plumber costs and is so easy anyone can do it.

Outdoor freeze proof faucet was leaking so I was looking at replacements. Went to the manufacturers website and saw this repair vacuum breaker was an option. With the cost of a new faucet much higher than this, tried it to see if it would work. Solved the problem and installation took less than 5 minutes. Would recommend this unit.

If you have a siphen back flowing water from your outdoor hose faucet, get this cheap replacement for a quick fix. Pop the cap off (or unscrew it manually depending on the type you have installed now) then twist off the plastic by hand or pliers if too tight. Put the new piece and pop the cap back on. It's that simple and you don't need to call a plumber.

When opening the sillcocks on my house this spring I had the common problem of leakage from under the cylindrical cap on the top. The various repair kits offered everywhere were a little confusing and the faucet didn't have any number or other ID on it, so I went to the Prier website and they have a great little flow chart to help you determine the right repair kit. Mine was a C-144 type of faucet and the kit reviewed here was what I ordered. However, the kit fits more than one faucet and has a little screen washer in it that wasn't part of the old valve. I put it in anyway, and found that it had just enough thickness to keep the valve body from seating properly. Result - another leak from under the cap. Removing the screen washer and tightening the valve body down fixed that problem. I'm pretty sure a lot of one-star Amazon reviews of this product would benefit from this simple fix, and it would be good if the kit package had some more specific instructions on it. Hope this helps.
