I've used this for over a year and it is like having superpowers! Being able to quickly and quite accurately measure distances makes tasks from re-arranging your bedroom to doing preliminary business/construction quotes a breeze!Just note that it does not work outdoors in full sun very well, but on a cloudy day or inside, this thing works very well!

It is very user-friendly and utilitarian. I use it in most of my landscape and home projects. It replaced my old Craftsman multi-use laser level that finally gave up the ghost

I tested it out doors for distance and indeed it was able range upto 250' despite my shaking hand.I haven't tested it yet for accuracy, because my use case only requires 1-2" accuracy over 10-30'. If you read the instruction booket however you will see that the claimed accuracy depends upon distance, temp, and target characteristics, but is supposed to be (rounding to useful numbers) +/- 1/8" upto 26 ft, and +/- 1/2" at 250' .One minor quibble -- there is no option for reporting distance in decimal inches -- your imperial choices are decimal feet or feet+inches+fractional inches. If you need decimal inches, set units to decimal feet, measure, then multiply by 12.It will use trigonometry to compute distances based multiple angles. you should read the manual if you care about that.Silly note: can be used to entertain your cat, as well.

Honestly it gets the job done quickly for when I’m doing estimates. I’m not looking for precision. My tape said the distance was 42 feet but the laser distance said it was 40 feet and 8 inches. My tape said it was 11 feet and 6 inches and the laser said it was 11 feet and 2 inches

Husband and I plan on doing some renos to the house, so we purchased this to map out the rooms! Then we can construct a model of the house and play around with what we want to do.So far, everything seems to be working very well! We tested out a few of the measurement against a tape measure and found it to be the same. It's easy to use - you just place the butt of it against a wall and push the button and boom, there's your measurement from wall to wall.It measures in both meters and feet, but we are using meters because it scales down easier.
