This fryeris easy to ckean and put back together. The lid sits in a slot that allows for easy removal for cleaning. It heats up quick and cooks food evenly. This fryer is great for a small family while cooking batch of food. Not a good fit for a lot of frying unless you want to change the oil more. It fits good on counter and doesn't take much space.

After the third time using this product the lid came off the top and will not click back in. And now just sits on top and can pull off at any moment. The fryer itself works but the lid is quite flimsy

For the size and price we was pleasantly surprised. We are not heavy flyers, but for the times when we do, something like this is perfect. It's small, lightweight and holds temperature very well. Its lid and filter help with the oil smell and cleaning up is super easy, barely an inconvenience.

Deep frying might not be the healthiest thing, but boy, if done right, it is soooo good! I usually cook fried parsley tacos - which by the way sounds weird but tastes fantastically. The issue with Parsley is that it holds a lot of water, and when fried, due to that it makes a hot oil mess. I need a safe fryer that allows me to close the lid and then lower the frying tray. That's the only way in which it protects me from burns and avoids a mess. The fryer must also have a good steam release system to avoid another bad experience and even bad burns. Finally, you need to make sure the temperature is always right, since it's just a matter of a few seconds at the right temperature for the perfect frying level. If the oil is colder, your parsley might take longer or be undercooked and chewy. If the oil is hotter, your parsley will turn brown and bitter. This fryer has it all for me - a good steam release system, the ability to lower the pan once the lid is shut, a temperature dial, and a temperature indicator. It is the perfect fryer for me. It is easy to clean, as the oil container can be detached and cleaned / washed outside. The cable is magnetic, so it allows for a safer operation as well. The quality of this fryer is great, it looks good, and it is easy to use. Love it!

This is my third home fryer and this is fryer is not only the best but also almost perfect. This fryer is so sets itself apart in so many ways.First, it has an off switch (in the form of temperature dial that goes down to "off"). Then it has a large container for frying. It has an open button. It is easy to clean, and it fries FAST. This fryer is also large and relatively (not absolutely) robust for a $50-$60 product.Pros:1)It has an off switch (most fryers are missing this feature).2)It has an open lid button (most fryers are missing this feature), which also keeps the lid closed under "lock". The lid allows moisture to escape even when closed.3)It has a LARGE container for frying.4)It heats to 375F in about 10 minutes and maintains that temperature even when frying frozen goods (such as french fries). French fries (from frozen to slight brown) takes around 5 minutes. This fryer does NOT lack for power.4)It has an air filter (nice touch and most fryers don't have this feature).5)It is easy to clean.6)The product is relatively sturdy and bespeaks of quality.Cons:1)It has a short extension cord (two feet) like most fryers. I don't know why fryers have such short power cords, but you would probably need an extension cord for this fryer.2)The "maximum" oil indicator in the container is very hard to see and it is easy to pour more oil than the "maximum".

Compact and easy to store. Looks nice. Easy to clean because the fryer pot is removable. Makes very crispy fries. Some fryers do not get hot enough, but Cool Daddy does. Excellent fryer.

For years, I've resisted the lure of a deep fryer, but lately I've come across recipes that I wanted to try. I didn't like the idea of all that grease spatter on my stove top, so I thought that a self-contained fryer like this CoolDaddy would do the trick. While I still get some spatter, especially with fries and potato chips, the air isn't filled with oil. Even better, the temperature is automatically controlled, reducing the chances of a grease fire or too-cool oil creating soggy, greasy food.It takes about 15 minutes to heat oil to the highest temperature (375 degrees), and once food is added, it can take up to 5 minutes for it to re-attain it. Initially, I was worried about the temperature drop/slow rise; however, the food emerged crisp and not greasy. I like the way the basket is held above the oil by a simple locking mechanism so that I can drain food before I transfer to a paper towel lined plate.I was worried about the capacity when I chose this because so many reviewers stated that it's too small. If you were cooking large pieces of chicken for a crowd or even a family of five, it would be too small to cook everything at once. You'd have to fry in batches. You might be able to get 3 pieces of chicken in at a time. I'm able to fry four doughnuts at a time. Some things, such as donuts, can and should be cooked without the basket. The basket is about 8" in diameter and 3" high. Since I'm most interested in cooking small items and batches, it is the perfect size for my use.The only part that can be washed in the dishwasher is the basket. Everything else must either be hand-washed or wiped down. There's a temperature dial in the front, a push button to open the top, and a red indicator light that turns off when the oil has reached the correct temperature. The instruction book is meager, at least in terms of recipes, but it contains critical information. Read it. For example, you don't want your oil overflowing onto your counter because you didn't read how to properly immerse cut potatoes. This CoolDaddy is the type of appliance that can spend a good deal of its life in a cupboard, but when you need it, you're glad you have it.-- Debbie Lee Wesselmann
