Good product. Shims are pre-scored. Real wood. 8 inches long. Pack of 12.

Whoever built my deck originally decided that the floor really didn't need any fall away from the house - In fact, it was a negative fall around the entrance, which led to a mini-pool when it rained. I decided it was time to fix the problem and stripped it back to the joists, these have done a great job of fixing the negative fall issue.

These wood shims were exactly as described and worked perfect for our door frame project. 5-stars!

I still had to go back with my multitool and trim some of the shims; they don’t snap as cleanly as the composite ones do.I was concerned when I unpacked them that the scoring didn’t go deep enough to get them to snap clean and it seems my concern was valid. They splinter and snap proud just like regular shims, but occasionally snap clean and flush….. just like regular shims.I hope this helps

These shims are a soft wood, but will do the trick for shoring up my squeaky hard woods. I'll probably need to buy another pack as I'm almost out and have set aside 2 for leveling my indoor door hinges. I like that it's scored so I can have nice clean breaks and not some janky jagged chunk of wood sticking out from under my floor joists. They're packaged nicely until ready to useGood find and would/will buy again

We have shimmed two doors in our basement recently, and we used a lot of the typical wooden shims. But these ones are ideal because they break a little more cleanly, and it's easy to break them exactly where you want. Whoever designed these, kudos to them!

When you need a shim, these will do your shimming job. I used some of these while removing and adjusting the hinges on a door, they were handy to have. These pre-scored shims are generally handy things to keep near your workbench for such odd jobs and repairs. They can be cleanly broken off to your desired length. Recommended.

These Glazelock Prescored Wood Shims are everything the listing suggests; snap scored pine wedges for professional, quick leveling. They are nearly uniform in length, width, thickness, and are precisely scored. For me the ‘Made in the U.S.A.’ logo is a welcome bonus. Not only are shims handy but also a must any time you need to level, plumb, and/or square your project. They act as another hand for work product support. Replacing windows, shimming a hinge to square a door, installing a pre-hung door and casing, leveling a run of base cabinets, hanging wall cabinets plumb, and aligning components sometimes necessary for trim work are just some of the opportunities to use these Glazelock Prescored Wood Shims.Once aligned a quick tap with the hammer will snap them off cleanly. Frankly, using a prescored shim is safer than scoring with your utility knife, nail or whatever sharp edge that’s handy. We’ve all run into the shim whose grain is so tough that by the time you get it broken off it’s a mangled mess requiring trimming and rechecking. These are fine shims, I highly recommend. One tip: If you need shims purchase more than you think you need. You’ll be glad that you did.
