Just did a significant amount of driving in a week and I must say, I believe this product kept my back from aching as much as it usually does when I drive for a long time. It really helped my posture so that I was not leaning too far back. If it were just a little sturdier, it would be 5 stars.

My first impression of the AUTOWOEL Lumbar Support Pillow is that it is very flimsy. The product page refers to it as a “pillow” or a “cushion”, and the images don’t lead you to believe any differently. The price is $49.99, so I expected something more substantial than what I got. It is really more like a molded frame that will bow in the middle as you tighten the straps on the back (see image). There is really nothing to it. I think it would still be overpriced if you knocked ⅔ off the price!The product page indicates that it can be used in a car, office chair, wheelchair, airplane, desk, couch, recliner, sofa, gaming chair, or for travel. I’ve been using it all day in my recliner (instead of my McKenzie Lumbar Roll that actually works) and my back is aching pretty badly. I have not tried it in my car, nor will I. My back could not survive a long ride with this as my only lumbar support.I will attach images to show the product that I received. It looks better on their product page, so kudos to their marketing folks. This may work well for some folks, but it does not work well for me and I consider it to be very overpriced.

This lumbar support is easy to use and fits well on my car seat or office chair. It has an elastic strap that goes over the seat. The device seems to be made well and has a mesh backing which keeps it from trapping heat. I have back pain from bad posture. This lumbar support helps straighten my back without too much effort, which helps reduce my back pain. It is comfortable for hours long car siting.

Might be good if your application exactly matches how this product is designed to be used, i.e. between a seated person and something like an automotive seat. Change the seat to a home easy chair or couch, or any seating system with a different contour, though, and the useability and likelihood of fitness-for-purpose of this product becomes questionable. Or at least that's my observation. I couldn't make it work in a chair with a back cushion with side bolsters.

We got this to use with a wheelchair for an elderly person, and we love it. It increases comfort dramatically and provides lumbar support. It also helps her body stay positioned a bit more forward in the chair, which is helpful when she wants to do things like eat or look out the window.It's very easy to install install/attach to the chair. The straps are secure, so it doesn't move around at all. The straps are also very easy to unhook when you need to collapse the wheelchair. We recommend very highly.

10 stars if I could! My wife and I just finished an 11-hour road trip, and for the first time, she had no back pain. The only thing we changed was adding this lumbar support. It’s breathable, comfortable, and made a noticeable difference. Highly recommend for anyone who struggles with lower back pain on long drives.
