This is a nice, compact, rechargeable radiation detector. The documentation is rudimentary, only describing device functions.Good addition to your Go bag, along with some potassium iodine tabs.

It looks decent and feels like it’s in decent quality, but there’s essentially zero directions – unless they are in the Chinese script which I cannot read. Without adequate instructions, this thing is worthless.

when I first turned it on, it ready very high. readings of over 4uSv/hr were common, had to turn off the alarm, but over a few days its settled down and now reads a bit more level, at under 1uSv/hr pretty consistently. USB charger is easy to use. only 2 readings, instant or the graph page. works ok, - not sure I would really put any confidence into the reading - but for small stuff and playing around its good enough

Most people getting this will use it to help develop a bit of basic scientific understanding - checking background radiation where you live, or how big of a dose you get exposed to during an extended flight.Anyone working with radiation will already have much more advanced instruments available to them, so this is in essence a toy, but a useful one to help dispel the various misunderstandings that average people have regarding ionizing radiation.
