PPC’s FPA forward path attenuators provide a fixed level of attenuation within the downstream frequencies without affecting upstream frequencies. Typical applications include attenuation of over-amplified signals generated by drop amps at the first input. Product features include: Small physical size minimizes risk of port damage 7/16” hex body allows for standard tool installation 100% Surface Mount Technology for consistent performance Precision four-point female seizure contact Moisture-sealed connector interfaces SCTE compliant connector interfaces

My cable modem showed way too much power (18dBmV) on each channels. This forward path attenuator corrects the situation drastically and now my modem constantly connects OFDM downstreams.

Not sure why but this didn't work when I used it. No internet connection was created when I attached to my router/gateway

Very happy with this. Purchased bthis since the power levels on my modem have gotten a bit too high recently and Optimum is worthless for any kind of support.Using this allowed me to lower the downstream power to optimal range while not causing upstream power to rise out of spec. An absolutely perfect experience

Reduced downstream signal by 8 to 9dB with no noticeable change to SNR or upstream power level. Quickly shipped. I'm a satisfied customer.

Forward path attenuators should be standard but they are so rare in the US. Commonly found and dirty cheap in Europe though.High downstream SNR mixed with high power is a very bad combination. The downstream snr leads to a lot of errors, and t3 timeouts. But put a basic attenuator on it, and your upstream power jumps too leading to disconnects as well. This thing lowered my downstream SNR 9 db as labeled and only slightly increased my upstream power. My connection is finally stable again.
