This is pretty good. Installation was kind of tough. I still got like a little gap on the top. Personally, I would not get this in on any other circumstance. But it is very nice. The material is great. I like it, but this is just like a glorified rubber sticker. Mines didn’t go on all the way. It’s got way too many gaps and I know after a while, the rain is going to make it just come right off.

I love TPE. A big fan. Super strong. Adhesion is great. Looks good. Fits great. Easy to install.

I was initially hesitant about the adhesive strength of this hood deflector. However, after three weeks, including multiple car washes, it remains firmly in place. The deflector arrived rolled up, but it flattened easily after a couple of days indoors. I waited for warmer weather before installation and thoroughly cleaned the area before applying the included adhesive wipes.Installation was quick and straightforward. I've since put it through several car washes without any issues.I'm very pleased with the hood deflector's appearance, ease of installation, and the protection it provides. Highly recommended!"

From the photos I was excited to add this hood protector to my truck. I've had one on previous vehicles and it did a good job avoiding rock chips in the paint. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this product. All the listing photos make it seem like it's a semi-rigid item. When it was delivered I was looking for a long box holding something approximately the width of my hood. I was surprised to see this thin rubber strip rolled tightly into a box. It has double-stick tape on the back, which is its only method of mounting. I would have loved to see a lip that goes around the hood giving it a mechanical attachment in addition to the tape. As it is, I do not trust the tape to hold up to Texas summers and I fear it'll come off while driving at highway speed since there's nothing holding the leading edge down. Also I am concerned that the tape will damage the paint and the rubber will trap moisture, damaging the hood I was trying to protect.I would recommend a pass on this item. You can get a higher quality hood protector for only slightly more money that wouldn't worry me about safety.

The instructions say not to install this unless the temperature is at least 50 degrees Fahrenheit. I live in Michigan and the temperature is only 10 degrees right now. Plus, my truck is covered in snow, slush and salt so I can't get it clean enough to apply the adhesive strips. It comes in a pretty small box fairly tightly wound in a roll. You'll need to leave it out for a while to get it all smoothed out. The product itself looks pretty well made. It's made from TPE material so there's no smell to it. It looks like it will blend in nicely once applied to the hood itself. It's pretty flexible so it should conform to the shape of the hood with no problem.Overall, this looks like a nice hood protecter for your Ford F150.My rating method:1 star - terrible. I wouldn't consider buying it.2 stars - marginal at best. Doesn't meet the minimum requirements or quality to be useful. Buy it at your own risk.3 stars - average. Meets the quality and requirements for a product of this type but is nothing out of the ordinary. If the price is good, I'd probably buy it.4 stars - better than average. Exceeds the typical quality of a product of this type and has a few extra features not usually found on other products of this type. I'd buy it.5 stars - exceptional - far exceeds the quality of products of this type. Hard to beat the quality and features included. Best value for the money. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it.

So, this comes tightly packed in a very small box, so you need to give it a day to fully expand before installing it. Because it was packed so tightly, some of the tape, the plastic part covering the adhesive, had peeled up a bit. It did not affect anything, but I wanted to point that out.In terms of installation, it is peel and stick. You are going to want a friend or spouse to help you get it aligned because it is thin and flexible. You cannot stick one side and expect the other side to stay level until you can press it down. With my wife on one end and myself on the other, we got it installed nice and straight, and it does look pretty nice.We cleaned the area of the truck with ISO alcohol before applying this and did the install in the garage with the heat on for maximum adhesion. If you are getting this in the winter, you might not get good adhesion if it is cold outside, so keep that in mind.We drove around a bit with it on, and it stayed firm. At speeds over 70 mph, there was a bit of vibration because it is on the thinner side, but it did not peel up, and the vibration was minimal. Again, I just wanted to point that out.For a peel and stick product, it is alright. I would have liked it to be more rigid and thicker, like the peel and stick rain guards I also got for my F-150, because I do not think this will take much of an impact without cracking, but it does stay firm. The three-star rating is for the following reasons.1. The price. Fifty dollars is way too much for this given how little material you get and how thin it is.2. It is not thick or rigid, so I am not sure how it will last over time with constant wind hitting it.3. It is not going to handle impacts very well because it is so thin.Would I recommend this? Maybe, if it were under fifty dollars, but considering you can get rigid peel and stick options for this truck for around the same price, this is a hard sell.I also do not like what appear to be fake reviews trying to raise the score of this product.
