Just put it on and we’ll see how it goes. Yes, it’s a textured rubber, but feels like it will hold up good. I do a lot of highway driving at 70+. Yes, it has double sided tape which makes me a little concerned in case the tape doesn’t hold. Don’t be surprised that it’s rolled up in a box. I flattened it out and used stones to keep it in place and it held it held its form pretty good. Instructions state to install when the weather is over 50f, and to use a heat gun or hair dryer to allow the adhesive to stick on. I used a hair dryer as I’m in a colder area of Arizona…we’ll see. If it peels off I’ll come back and update.

This “hood protector” is a rolled up piece of rubber that is to be rolled out and taped to your hood. Ugly Terrible. Junk

Just installed this today and it comes rolled in a smallish box. Installation was pretty easy with one person. We will see how it holds up to the Florida heat. Only complaint I have is the shipping. I ordered it and status didn’t change for 3 weeks. Then it shipped and 5 days later I received it. Just don’t know why it couldn’t be shipped in a more timely manner.

Highly recommend!I recently installed this TPE hood protector on my 2023 Silverado, and I couldn't be happier with the results.
