Controlador eficiente, seguro y confiable, aunque debería de tener una pantalla más iluminada para poder leer en el día, si se instala en el exterior

Working great for the price

I purchased this charge controller because of its good reviews, and because it didn't rely on the internet or an external device to set parameters or to monitor. I needed this because I live in a remote location on an island. Unfortunately, when I connected the controller, all I could see was gibberish on the screen. It showed multiple levels at once, impossible to read. Couldn't use it at all.

Best advice- watch a couple of the YouTube vids on these controllers. They all work the same. Mine works fine for what the system is, a 12v battery with 2 100 amp panels. If you are making a larger system, be certain to know your working amps and get the right size controller.

A versatile controller. I like the ability to change the charge parameters and the many display modes which provide a variety of information on system status.

I agree with some of the positives mentioned in other reviews (large, solid terminals; simple setup and controls). I really wanted to like this controller. However, the operation of the unit is not what I expected and hoped for. It was charging my batteries in a weird way. Could it be that how this PowMr controller functions is the nature of the PWM beast? I don't know. I haven't seen a demonstration or video tutorial offered from the manufacturer that shows their controller in action. And the manual provided with the controller is marginal, at best.So I hooked the charger up to my 36v system and all seemed fine. I watched it for a few days and had the smiley face icon displaying the whole time. (It was not frowning) OK, all is good, I thought. Then I started doing some testing with my multi-meter. To my dismay I discovered the controller was bumping down my panel input of @ 95v (in full sun) to @ 70v at the breaker *before* the controller. Again, with the PowMr 6048 in use and connected correctly, the power input from my panels was only 70v before the controller and *before* the panel breaker, when it should have been at least 95v -- a power loss of more than 25%! When I reconnected my MPPT charger, all was normal again. In addition, the PowMr controller's display showed the input voltage in an odd way. The input voltage at the controller would gradually rise from @ 42v up to @ 95v and down again. Up and down, up and down continually as if riding an electronic wave, all while the panel input power (at the breaker) read a low and constant 70v!Nope, that ain't gonna work. I'm sending it back.1/30/23: Review edited for clarification.

No pude instalarlo de inmediato y solo ahora, después de que venció la fecha límite de devolución, me doy cuenta de que no funciona. Este es mi segundo controlador PowMr muerto de 3. Definitivamente buscaré otra marca.

I increased the capacity of my RV solar system and got this 30 amp solar charge controller. Very simple to mount and connect this new controller to my solar panels and batteries. The display is best viewed directly, not from the side, but since I don't need to often check the display this is not a serious problem. If it was more visible, that would mean it is using more power from my solar system instead of delivering this to the batteries so it seems to be a fair trade off. Testing display readings with my Fluke meter shows the display is accurate.

Don't let description images deceive you; it's larger than what it appears. I got it yesterday and installed it today, so all I have to share for now is my experience with installing it and checking parameters. For the parameters, I went with the defaults; there was really nothing I needed to change and it worked out of the box. It's hooked up to four 360 watts 48VDC panels in parallel and seems to be using every bit of watts available, though it just got cloudy. What I really like about the charger is that the terminals were big enough for 4 AWG wire. That really surprised me because, for the most part, solar chargers I've used come with terminals where users can't hardly get a 10awg wire through. Through its window you can see battery voltage, which is handy, but wish it'll provide a percentage instead. I own another solar charger and got used to the percentage and, at least in my case, it tells me a lot more about the status of the batteries and panels than just the voltage. How I know it's working? Before I hooked it up I had two sets of solar panels, 7each of 370watts and four each of 360watts connected to one heavy duty 60amps charger, which is not the ideal way to connect panels. So, now I have the 370watts panels connect to the 60amp charger and the 360watts panels connect to this charger (this PowMr Solar Controller 80A). I have six AGM batteries connected in parallel to a 5,000 watts (10,000 peak) inverter. The inverter is connected to the main electrical panel through a 10 circuit manual transfer switch. Before installing this charger, I couldn't turn all circuits on at the same time, even during a sunny day, because there wasn't enough power available to charge the batteries and run the devices attached to the transfer switch. But after installing this PowMr Solar Controller 80A, the batteries got fully charged and there was plenty of power left to run the devices, including a modern refrigerator. So far, everything seems to be working fine. This is a great charger for the money and I recommend it.
