Very difficult to use, barely works. Performed one single flight out of 100+ throws and 10+ planes.

Just prior to receiving the device I folded a plane from slightly heavier paper than was supplied with the shipment. I then attached the device and it totally failed to fly. I then folded the same design from the supplied paper and it (sort of) flew. The concept of giving a paper airplane greater range (after much trial and adjustment) is fine but the construction and quality of the device is not anywhere close to the cost. Frankly, I'm a bit embarrassed to have paid so much for so little.

This is my 4th version in the PowerUp series. The first 2.0 I used as a gift for my grandkids and then I realized it was much more than a toy. I learned how to fold the plane using the enclosed template. Then I started customizing the paper airplane with my own artwork and messages using plain copy paper that I give or insert in the box. Using terms like, "You've reached new heights" for graduates, or "Congratulations on landing X as a new client", or "your support of our company has allowed us to soar", or "you are a great employee who has taken us to new heights.... for corporate clients. So many ideas if you let your imagination "fly"!!

We're on our second one of these. The first one, on the first time trying to put it on an airplane, one of the retaining clips snapped. Luckily, we were able to get it replaced next-day -- thanks, Amazon! After that -- IF you watch the tutorial video online -- this is a ton of fun. The most important thing to know is that you're going to need to trim-up your paper airplane. You want a design and trim that basically flies straight up without the PowerUp on it -- then when you put the PowerUp on it, it'll fly great. We've had it going all around our front yard. The charger is very easy to use, even for younger kids, and they love it. Hope the clip doesn't break again!

This is a fun little toy to add some flair to paper airplanes. It is simple, and comes with directions on how to make some compatible paper airplanes. This being said, it was rather heavy and the paper airplanes didn't fly well at all - usually just straight to the earth. What this really needs is some way to control it (which I believe is a product that is offered by this same company. I would recommend checking that one out compared to this one.

This is a very neat little toy.I know a lot of the others on here are having difficulty getting their planes to fly, but with basic understanding of Aerodynamic principals, you can get this propeller to carry a paper plane for a significant distance. If you build them right, you can get your designs to fly several hundred feet! The designs that come with the product don't always work amazingly well, so you should experiment with your own. It's key to get the largest wings possible to provide as much lift as possible since this propeller does not have an enormous amount of thrust. Then you also want to make sure your airplane's center of mass is in the correct spot, since if its too far back you will have your plane go straight up and dive, while if it's too far forward, it will dive straight off.Just like it says in the instructions, you want your plane to be able to fly well with the engine turned off, before you can expect it to fly well with the engine turned on.
