This is cute but way overpriced for a cheap piece of plastic. Purchased for our cats. Our large dog is more interested. Sorry, but really can't recommend. It is very fragile for anyone.

I got two of these for Xmas. One Schilling version and this one. The toy is a solid concept. Great pick. This one requires some assembly. Which is fine. But there were two complaints. First, the plastic body here is opaque meaning you can’t see how twisted the rubber band is. This one just minutes out of the box had a critical piece break. So it’s junk. The other model also came with a replacement rubber band. I will get a replacement but of the other version.

My wife and I bought one of these many years ago in France and had a lot of fun with it. We bought this one for our grandsons. They love it! It's not the most durable toy in the world, but if you take care of it it will last.

This takes flight and soars much better than the wind-up wooden airplanes. Yes, it's delicate. So handle with care. Best if an adult winds it up and just let the kids run after it to bring it back. Teach the kids how to hold it by it's body and not the wings. Don't play with it close to a house, as my heroic neighbor had to retrieve it off his roof for us.

I bought the first one in a park in Paris. Brought it home for the nephews who squealed with delight when they saw what it could do. Honestly, the fathers were really into it too. It flies really well albeit for short distances. But be warned. Make sure there's a lot of room with few trees or chances are you will lose it. Our first one is nestled high in an oak tree above the yard. Ha.

The kids loved it, but it's not like the ones we had as kids.

Right out of the box the bird didn't work. There's a notch that's supposed to make it so you can wind up the rubber band and then release it. The notch was ineffective and the crank hit my finger nail about 25 times, ouch! Only worked as a glider then. I'd buy the larger version. It worked pretty well compared to this one.
