This flexible curve duplicator is designed to deliver high precision replication and transference of complex or compound curves from patterns to your work piece. Easy To Use
Simply align the curve template to the curve that you wish to transfer. Then, loosen the knobs, adjust the template curve and then tighten the locking knobs along the spine of that curve. The curve will hold (stay in place), thereby allowing you to transfer to whatever material you are working on for precise contouring and easy shape matching.
Please Note: For customization, these templates can be cut into smaller sections by disassembling at any of the segment joints and cutting the spring steel strap with a shear or snips.

Good quality and works as advertised. I gave it only four stars rather than five since there is not an easy way to hold it firmly to the material you’re working on. I ended up making some shims to go under the nuts on the clamp knobs so the template wouldn’t tip when clamping. Otherwise it works great.

This arrived promptly (we've had icy weather) and appears to be quite strong and well designed. I bought it for developing new templates for acoustic guitar bodies and I think it will work well for that.

People complain that they can’t move it around without it losing original shape. True to some degree. To get around that I laid it out then slid the wood underneath. Checked it against the template again then clamped it into place. It’s better for sweeping arches or wider angles. It wasn’t able to make the turn in the very middle but it wasn’t a problem. Moved the wood and used the same method for the other side. The two points in the middle met perfectly

this template works as described for gentle curves as shown in the product description. i need it for making repair panels for rust repair on an old car. it's great along a fender but i had a bit of trouble to make it keep its shape along the transition from the side panel to the rear panel. the curvature was a bit too much for the stiffness of the strapping used. i will still get my money's worth of use out of it, regardless. i will just have to iterate on making cardstock patterns till i get the shape right on areas that are beyond the use of this tool.
