Works great, is more expensive but I like the clear look. I like being able to see where some random chips collect based on what blast gates are open and closed in the system. It’s not an issue but I also like the idea of being able to see any clogs or issues right away if they ever were to come up. There is also a huge difference in suction compared to using a long flexible hose or connecting to the hard clear pipes. I can hear the difference in suction power when switching from my temporary flexible hose to the side of my shop that is set up with this pipe. It’s also oddly satisfying to see the chips and dust through the pipe when I use things like my planer or drum sander.

Works perfectly with the other powertec fittings to create a simple and very effective dust collection for dw735 planer. I chose to use a 45 in this position to help maintain velocity and reduce the chance of plugging. So far so good.

I bought this as upgrade to the standard flex hose I’ve been using. Looking for a solution to the expansion and contraction and loss of suction that occurs with flex hose, without paying up for metal duct workOnly been using it a week but I notice the increased suction of my DC unit. The clear is more appealing than using white PVC pipe as you can see clogs or potential issues.Pricey but a worthwhile addition to the shop.

I am a huge fan of these clear dust collection tubes. It is great when you can see exactly where something is stuck or dust/debris is building up. I also like that I didn’t have to seal the connections (with machines, adapters and attachments). The plastic seals well on its own and those seals last. Overall the POWERTEC dust collection system is designed well and has given me the flexibility I need to connect to everything in my workshop. I have these connected to a Harvey dust collection system and they work extremely well with it. Great suction. Fits perfectly. No issues with durability. It’s also ready for future growth without having to take everything apart. My only complaint is the price. I don’t know why it costs $100 for 4 clear tubes. Then again, who knows… these days everything seems to be priced exorbitantly to me!

If you are like me, you have conjured up more than one blue fog when dealing with "4-inch" fittings for your dust collection system. It's as if "4-inch" is just a suggestion. That said, if you give up and use a rubber 4" inch connector you can make most anything fit to most anything this. With a rubber connector, this elbow works really well at the intake port of my wall mounted dust collector, keeping the hose from kinking and clogging. Doesn't take up much room, the dust and chips flow better, the hose is happy, and so am I.

I bought several sets of these for my work shop to attach hoses & split connectors to the ceiling & walls. I trust this brand! The hangers are slightly flexible, so it allows single-person install with snapping a plastic hanger before the second screw is put in. It holds strong & I it worked so well that I actually used less then I would have thought I needed. Plastic would have snapped in several instances where this metal held up.

So, let me lead with saying I have no idea what this was actually intended for by the manufacturer. All I know is I needed a 4 inch "nominal" diameter object to connect from the intake of a 1997 F250 7.3L to a NAPA 6637 filter because I leaned too hard on the stock intake box and broke the plastic (thereby ruining that whole "seal" thing that supposed to happen to prevent dust from getting sucked into the engine.) I visited the hardware store first and came up with a few mediocre solutions with PVC fittings that would... work... then saw this. For less money, this solves the problem by actually fitting (OD of the truck's fittings was about 4 1/4, ID about 3 7/8 - this fits in the ID with a little bit of give that you can clamp down on with a 4" hose clamp on either end). Again, don't know what this thing was SUPPOSED to be fore, but it sure does do a great job as a cheap intake pipe for my truck :-)
