Just installed and already plastic breaks down and tears away from ring wire. Don't waste your money nor time.

Have never had an issue with getting a hose on. Cannot get it to connect on either end!

This is a high quality heavy duty product, I would just like to say it was very difficult to make the connection. Not sure if it runs a little small, or has slightly shrunk. But plan accordingly with the product your connecting to.

I run a smaller workshop. I needed a extra run of hose off the dust collector to pipe into a planner. The hose itself is undersized. I have other 4 inch hose, and this is definitely smaller than the powertec hose. It took some work to get it mounted to my 4 inch connections. If that was the only issue, I would have MAYBE removed one star. However after about a hour of use, I lost all suction. After checking the whole system I was disappointed to find this hose as the culprit. The plastic starts to disintegrate as I touched it. I found countless holes in the hose. I don't think even a foot of it was useable. Unfortunately I had waste a bit of time and undo all my work and remove the hose.

I like that this hose is so sturdy, but that is also what makes it so hard to work with, as others have mentioned. The hose can be stretched out to 4" but starts out close to 3.25". I found that using a zip tool (see picture), that is used for putting on vinyl siding helps. Though it still took some force to get it all the way on, it didn't rip. You need something to act as a shoehorn, that is thin and strong. The zip tool worked because it can grab the wire and use that to pull it on. It is still a slow tedious process.I also found that if you fold the hose back all the way around first, that is helpful to get it started and gives you something to grab hold of. I considered warming it with a hair dryer but didn't feel like going inside to get it. I'm pretty sure that would have helped. Some sort of lubricant (dishwashing soap) would have helped to. A shoehorn might have actually worked too.If you are looking for something to hook to a dryer vent, I wouldn't bother with this, as it would be overkill. I wanted something heavier for a 2HP dust collector in my new shop that could be moved easily, until I decide on the final layout of the shop.Have fun,Ken

I also found this very hard to install, until I heated the hose end up with a heat gun (or hair dryer) then it easily slipped onto the dust collection fitting.
